As a non-Black person, i feel like my home as a child involved a lot of music but not so much singing. I am gonna guess that singing is much more valued and practiced within Black culture, so that people grow up hearing real voices and their ears and voices are trained well organically from childhood. From choirs to traditional songs, i think they just care more than people from my background. My grandmother is the only person in my family who i can remember seriously singing before i turned twenty.
Interesting question, I suspect evolution is at play there. Perhaps singing was a highly valued trait in our distant past and those with great voices had a greater chance to reproduce.

Jokes aside a lot of black performers had a lot of practice. Many come from musical families or performed at their church. It’s really just practice
