I've noticed a few brittle bushes are producing flowers right now. They usually bloom in the spring but there are always some that will take advantage of a good rainstorm by blooming immediately.

I walk on South Mountain a few times a week, and they’re blooming all over it.
I don't get over to South Mountain very often. This was by Pass Mountain by Usery Pass road.
