The only difference is that ai has been marketed as the next “get rich/popular” course to get people like the people who made and sell it and it’s the same as every other scam popular fad that claims to be the future from the past, NFT, memecoin, bitcoin becoming universal currency, Alpha male courses, and so on. Ai “art” is the new version of that.
When the bubble bursts, all these data centers are going to be full of E-waste and have to host Spirit of Halloweens when October starts. Good luck trying to build a computer in the meantime though, AI has only caused parts to become hellaciously expensive.
The same thing is happening with fresh water and electricity. That's fundamentally due to investors pouring in money to compete with others, which usually leads to the price increasing (like at an auction).
The government needs to stop sending tax money to ai conmpanies
