I find it rather ironic that the original OP apparently uploaded to reddit some random photo they presumably didn't license (in violation of reddit rules and copyright law), considering that Aaron himself volunteered with Creative Commons to help everyone find permissively-licensed works they can legally use. It would have better honored his memory to post a CC-licensed image (there are a few available on Wikipedia, and presumably elsewhere) with the relevant license.
In any case, quoting myself from a prior thread: I think about him often. Here are some good articles I have bookmarked:
from The New Yorker (with quotes from family and friends): Requiem for a Dream
Wired obituary -- "The world is robbed of a half-century of all the things we can't even imagine Aaron would have accomplished with the remainder of his life."
We need people like Aaron now
Fuck.. (×̯×) 13yrz later, still mad as fuck. 10yrz ago I posted this, no progress on anything, just a whole spiral of new eventualities. Ugh..well, let's watch The Internet's Own Boy: The Story of Aaron Swartz | full movie (2014) to reminisce..
I watch it every year this time as well to do the same. RIP.

from James Boyle, who worked with him at Creative Commons.
from Lawrence Lessig, who also worked with him at Creative Commons.
Aaron Swartz Faced A More Severe Prison Term Than Killers, Slave Dealers And Bank Robbers
Wired obituary -- "The world is robbed of a half-century of all the things we can't even imagine Aaron would have accomplished with the remainder of his life."
NY Times article with quotes from his memorial service
Quinn Norton writes about the pressure she faced during the investigation
by activist Asher Wolf
by lawyer Ken White, who has also suffered from depression
by someone who, like most of us, didn't know him but was profoundly affected by his death.
