In 2012, a DDoS tool used by Anonymous was hacked to include the Zeus banking trojan. One of the alleged members of the Zeus crew was recently arrested in Italy and extradited to the US.

Not sure if these stories are directly related, because I don't know which version of Zeus or which cybercrime group was responsible for adulterating slowloris, but I thought this was an interesting coda.
