I play with AI off so there isn’t any military conflict in my game. So outside of that, I haven’t found any issue yet that I need to solve with the ships, so I haven’t cared much about the captain options. The cargo slowdown and wind hasn’t negatively impacted my trade routes enough for me to care, and I have plenty of money so trade prices don’t matter to me.
