Inio Asano isn't a bad artist. In fact he's great. His drawings are detailed and evocative. But I'd rank Nao Emoto (of O Maidens in Your Savage Season fame) above him and pretty much everyone else from a technical standpoint because her line works display such mastery and effortless grace.
What makes Berserk art better to me is how creative it gets. I mean it's very stylized in some parts. Idk how to explain it very clearly as I'm not an artist, but OPM's art feels more "commercial". It's not a bad thing for OPM, but Berserk art just impresses me more.
I think so berserk gets alot more creative during paneling which murata doesn't do also since berserk is hand drawn entirely iirc and opm is digitally altered due to berserk being hand drawn it has a certain charm to it

I completely agree that Berserk art looks more original, organic and human. OPM drawings look almost hyperrealistic, which is insanely pretty, but looks inorganic, and almost like a B&W filter on a real image. I personally prefer OPM, but I understand your POV.

Berserk. There are points where I've had to just put the manga down to process what I've just looked at and there are multiple panels I'd love to have enlarged and made into posters.
One Piece has probably some of the best panel flow I've ever seen, while Berserk pulls off both small and big "set piece" moments in a way few others can, and Vagabond is so consistent I'm amazed at how it manages to capture so much in just one drawing throughout every single chapter.
Why is jjk here? Gege has some great panels but there was also a significant stretch where the art fell off a lot and looked more like rough sketches cus of burnout. MHA should be pretty highly ranked imo the panels horikoshi was able to pump out on a weekly basis were insane
Making someone pick between Vagabond, Berserk and OPM is brutal, from pure drawing quality it's OPM for me. Funny enough the aesthetic I enjoyed the most was Naruto, especially around the training ark with Jiraiya, that one just feels almost nostalgic, but I wouldn't call it best drawn, when those three giants exist. I am also a huge fan of the Jojos manga, some of the panels look like fucking Renaissance paintings or straight from some retro fashion magazine.
Certainly not Kingdom and JJK. Their art has fundamental flaws (anatomy and composition and inking and line art respectively).
berserk has incredible shading and detail, but doesnt have correct proportions and lack of dynamic poses (in some cases) and sometimes the pages (especially in later chapters) can become very bloated with detail.
I'd say overall takehiko Inoue, climber and murata are overall the best from a technical aspect (and arguably aesthetic)
Kubo and kishimoto are also up there, with Kubo being one of my faves (especially when he locks in).

Why is jjk on here…. the gojo vs sukuna fight had some of the worst art I’ve seen. I was struggling to keep up with what was going on half of the time. The art looks like Gege was drawing while he was constipated or something. Put something with actual decent art like claymore.
I haven’t actually read any of these, but i would say they all are drawn really well. I would like to say that tbhk is also drawn really well, although it doesn’t match the aestethics of style of these cool action mangas its still drawn wery well, i would like to use this as a example of the tbhk artstyle.

It was a real struggle to get through the manga during the hueco mundo arc as many chapters had huge spreads of certain characters and no background, just a empty white void. I remember believing that the anime would actually catch up to the Szayelaporro fight as it was dragging on for so damn long.

The male characters are built weird with small legs, huge torsos, large necks, small heads, the females are even worse with their non-existent torsos, oversized chests and small bottoms, plus they either look like nami or just look weird in general. The backgrounds are awful and the detail is very rough, that it looks like chicken scratch and when you combine that with the horrible paneling you just get a story that’s hard to follow along with most of time.

You’re either not remembering correctly or biased. The prologue and the bits of golden age arc are pretty rough around the edges.

Berserk is my number one, with OPM beinga runner up. It's nuts how quickly Murata comes out with chapters that could potentially rival Berserk.

I haven't read berserk but the panels that I've seen from the manga are incredible.
