Joyboy set Luffy up for victory 800 years ago!
We're nearly at the end of Egghead, and surely there will be repercussions - Imu certainly isn't happy.
Cool to hear the original OVA Luffy as Joyboy, wonder if it'll be 4Kids Luffy in the dub.
Lol I never realized Luffy VA changed. when did that happen? I did notice Zoro but never Luffy
Defeat Him! The Pirate Ganzack! was the first One Piece OVA that was made in 1998 by Production I.G. before Toei picked up the anime. It had a different voice cast, and only Luffy, Zoro and Nami from the main cast appeared, with different VAs.
One piece got me crying over some friendship with just 3-5 minutes of screen time. Emmel(?) and Joyboy was a very cute scene.
Its funny buggy's crew probably now has confirmation (in their mind) buggy is actually the chosen one now.
The world really seems reinvigorated. This is another Roger's execution moment. The one piece is confirmed to the world and that it will actually heavily change the world.
I did feel quite a bit of joy seeing Imu crash out. Who was the attendant? Im surprised there even is a lady that has the clearance to see Imu
If I remember correctly, when Imu was first introduced. There was someone there in the flower room. I’m assuming it’s the same person.
Emeth Actually.... How can you just forget that.
I thought it was Emett.
I forgot, it's a hard, infrequent, and unusual name.
[deleted]
I think I remember this as well in one of the episode of the X-File.
It's pronounced Emeth. That's it i think. Idc much for spelling.
I thought it's Emmett, like the doctor from Back to the Future
It's meant to be Emet/Emeth, it comes from the original golem mithos from jewish mithology, I don't remember the exact details so look it up if you're interested
How could you forget it? You didn't even spell it correctly
Imma mother tongue no english... I'm still a learner though.
Do you not think it's a little hypocritical to ask why I didn't get something right when you also didn't get it right?
I cried too. Hearing/seeing the voice/image of a long lost friend and the nostalgia of that... I know the feeling
10/10 me too emmet voice is so sad when he talks to luffy I wish he stays alive, also Feels like joyboy's haki can see future for like 800 years ahead 😂😂😂
A goated character getting to mentally fuck with their ops from beyond the grave is always an amazing scene lol.
That art style switch was absolutely incredible, Gear 5 suddenly looked like it came straight out of a horror movie
Back to back peak episodes 😭😭❤️🔥💯
Look how a fraction of Joyboy's Haoshoku Haki can be so immense to knock all those elders down and even shook Imu 🔥🔥🔥
Brilliant animation for the Haoshoku Haki. Absolutely no words to describe.
Emeth on just hearing the 'D' knew what he had to do and went with a blaze of glory 🥹🔥🔥
Who the fuck was Joyboy to have nuclear warhead Haki
Headcanon says he’s the one they make reference when saying color of the “supreme king” haki
That’s a pretty cool idea
Wait, no, I like this idea
He was Him.
Luffy's gear 5 is a testament to that fact.
Him?
First time we witness a haki so strong that it even knocked out all the vice admirals
Seeing Doll, knocked out impressed me a lot. She’s shown herself to be a very strong force this arc. Insane
Halki so strong it got felt on Marijoie and disconnected the elder's summoning jutsu
Imu got that Muzan ptsd
The "One Piece" and "Joyboy haki" moment done so well literally gave me chills.
Absolutely terrifying portrayal of Gear 5. legit looks like a villain who just witnessed the power of the strongest hero, and now our villain is stunned.
Vincent’s work always captivates me; he’s always experimenting and breaking boundaries. Vincent did both the beginning and the ending. What a genius madman.
Holy shit Imu’s scream made me fucking die laughing! 😂😂😂
Who came to his aid'? a Royal maid?
She will be revealed so we need to wait

Just about done with Water 7, everyday I’m closer and closer to catching up, what blows my mind is how much information I’d have to keep on remembering as I catch up. Also I don’t think I’ve ever went from hating to loving an anime character that quick like I have with Franky (Cutty Flam).
Yeah, most of the thing that happened in the past would eventually be mentioned/referenced in the future chapters/episodes.
Man I’m like 4 arcs in and there’s so many characters and people I have to try to remember as well as key info, not that I’m complaining, I find it actually fun to piece it all together but I feel like I’m gonna struggle the more I watch. Just keeping track of all the characters with D in their name seems so fricking important but at the same time I be forgetting lolol.
Reactors on youtube keep notebooks for their shows. Sometimes that works for people if you know how to reference back to them
One Piece loves to do that.
Wow, what a great way to showcase JoyBoy’s strength. I can’t wait to see the void century flashback because I really want to see JoyBoy in action.
I’m curious if Joyboy can see into future because I have a feeling he knew something like this was needed.
Overall, another banger episode.
THE ONE PIECE TRULY EXISTS!
Also all of Vegapunks trolling for the last 13 episodes to the dark lab shot with the flatline on the screen goes fucking crazy lol. The true true ending of the end of Vegapunk.
BUT
What if?...he just trolled, rage baited, and lied about the One Piece & everything he said lmfao
Emet o7
It brought me to tears a fuck ton, the fact that we've seen and heard a bit of Joyboy after 14 years of his name being mentioned back in FMI. We're truly close to the end of the series.
Koby is a stupid ash bit*h, Luffy sets him up on the way to pursue his dream. He listens to the smartest man in the world give warning about the world destruction and he concludes that he must stop Luffy ?
Everyone is celebrating the greatness they just saw in Bonney and Luffy via kicking Saturn’s ass and Vegapunk’s broadcast is still going. He’s letting everybody know that the truth of the world is ready for anybody to claim, however pirates are closer than anybody else in finding it, and the One Piece is real!
This freaks out the entire world and now everybody wants to search for it and for whatever reason, Koby has the AUDACITY to believe that he can stop Luffy from achieving his goal. Warcury strikes Emet, officially ending Vegapunk’s broadcast. Also a note; Shanks’ ship is called Red Force for those who didn’t know (like myself for instance). How will this shake up the world as we know it? Only time will tell.
To end things off, Emet releases a trump card that was left behind centuries ago by Joyboy himself, a rope knot that has his most powerful Haki imbued in it. Emet releases this and it’s so immense that everybody on the island who has a weak will is knocked out (who are enemies), and it undoes the transformations of the Five Elders and sends everybody back but St. Saturn (likely because he was originally here in the first place, while the others were summoned by Saturn). We see a flashback of the day in which Joyboy left behind this knot, and it shows that even when he’s gone, he’s still here to help Emet. Emet’s legacy will never be forgotten, even if he was born 800 years ago, and before his demise, he got to hear Luffy tell him that he’s the man who will become King of the Pirates, and that never gets old, because of the greatness and badassery in those words.
I CAN’T WAIT FOR MORE ONE PIECE; SO AMAZING!
I like how this episode reminded me of "L O S T" on ABC the tv series where it would also use mysterious reasons like 'fate' to explain why ppl ended up together on the L O S T Island after a plane crash. Vegapunk just happened to have the feed short out and be indecipherable to the TV audience watching around the globe EXACTLY at the points where he talked about JoyBoy and what the"Will of 'D'" meant, as well as apparently what the One Piece actually is so like the 3 major mysteries of the 1000-plus-episode series since EP1 aired, really.
Just makes it more maddening to want to find out WHO ARE THE OTHERS?! Uhhhh I mean, Who was JoyBoy and how is Luffy in Nika-mode enough to fool a robot that's been asleep since the Void Century?! (Also, Imu reminds me of the Smoke Monster from L O S T haha)
Curious to know why Joyboys Haki didn’t knock out Nami and Ussop… assuming it was being indiscriminate when it was being released since Emeth doesn’t have control over it.
Robo's last resort DDoSed the Elders out of the server.
Knots were first mentioned like 700 episodes ago and now the concept is relevant again!
if his fruit is actually a mythical zoan, that means an inanimate object could eat it.
I mean, we've seen inanimate objects become sentient after eating zoan fruits, so it's not impossible.
Zoro with Joyboy, Phoenix, and Dragon swords
Fire now on to elbaf
Emet from the top ropes with the pocket haki bomb
