I see a lot of Multi Animator Projects on youtube. I’ve been practicing animation for about a year and a half now, and I’d like to try one. Where can I participate? Is there a discord or specific site? Or is it strictly word of mouth?
Newgrounds, which was the main hub for animation before it blew up on YouTube, is still home to a huge community of animators and has a section specifically for posting invitations to collaborate.
There are also discords but as someone in them I feel I should tell you we’re all fighting for our lives and busy with our own animations. It’s kinda hard to find collaborators that aren’t busy, try making friends with other animators.
Just search open map call on youtube and sort by latest tbh
Results may vary because they just dont happen as much as a few years ago bc a lot of ppl grew up and are busy or the entry barrier to maps is higher
You may possibly also find them from people advertising in the artfight discord or discord servers of popular animation meme animators (and its specifically animation meme animators as it overlaps the map sphere more than just typical animators)
