  • cool try. you're making some important mistakes though:

    1. for the grid on the floor, you need a grid in perspective. make an evenly spaced grid in perspective to a vanishing point on a horizon line.

    2. the torso, head, and pelvic mass moves in sideways 8s, with the torso slightly delayed. this is because the mass passes from foot to foot starting from the pelvis and the torso lags slighly behind. 

    3. the swinging isn't working. do a walk cycle that is side view, put it to the side of your front view, and make sure all the elements line up horizontally in each drawing. that's how you can solve drawing legs, feet and arms swinging at the camera. they need to have the right heights to convey that they are swinging. 

    4. mark the elbow joint. have a box for the torso. 

    5. analyze reference of walking.
