I was a "Drew" briefly - the small company I worked for out of school already had an Andrew and an Andy, so they just, on their own, decided to call me Drew. Didn't love it. Don't recommend it.
Twice in a single day this week, I've introduced myself as Andrew and was asked if I go by Drew. Not Andy, Drew. WTF? I already told you my name, it's Andrew.
I transferred to a different school in grd10. My new class had 2 Andrews in it, and my afternoon class had two more. I wore a leather cowboy hat to school once, and spent the rest of the semester being called cowboy hat.
We know you still answer to Andy.

I once became known as Lechuga because my workplace had an Andrew, Andy, and an Andrew.
I’m sorry that happened to you. Stay strong, brother.
I've had to go that route professionally sometimes.

I transferred back the following year.
