hi everyone.

i started taking the Opill birth control pill again a month ago after being on it for a little while and then stopping. ive been having sex with my boyfriend a lot. i got my period 2 weeks ago, but it seems i’m on it again? but it’s not blood, it’s brown and not fully liquid. like a lot of brown discharge.

this has never happened to me before. i’ve struggled with irregular periods, but always have just skipped a month here and there. i’ve never gotten one twice in a month. ive been on birth control before and my periods have always been normal.

i don’t know if this is silly to add, but i have also been having extremely itchy armpits and as i have health anxiety i did some research and have found that it could be a pregnancy symptom?

also a lot of unintentional weight loss.

i know it is definitely possible i could be pregnant as i have been having sex of course, and the only way to know is by taking a test, i guess i’m just curious if these symptoms sound familiar to anyone and if it’s worth being anxious over.

  • Test are accurate 14 days after possible unprotected sex and definite 21 days after possible unprotected sex. Test following this timeline for each time you had possible unprotected sex. You should consult a medical professional if you have additional concerns. If your tests are negative after 14 days then you’re likely not pregnant and should TRUST your test results🤍. Stress and diet can cause significant delay or even affect your period symptoms and body. A woman’s period can be thrown off and having spotting occur at this time from birth control is common, as that’s what sounds like is happening. If you’re not trying to conceive then please use some form of additional contraceptive like condoms if you go more than 24hrs without being on the pill.
