Healthcare is in crisis across the entire country right now. My point being that this isn't an issue facing only specific political parties in specific provinces.
As boomers continue to age, this issue will only get worse with time.
Fuck that logic. The Conservatives have been in power for more than 30 years in this province. They should have prepared our healthcare system for this. You can't just excuse what they did because it's happening to other provinces.
The NDP has been in power in BC for almost 9 years, now. Healthcare has worsened, not improved.
Goes to show that this isn't the result of any one political party or ideology. Large population growth in conjuction with an aging population will do things like this, but go ahead, keep the partisan blinders on. 👍
LOL BC NDP's 9 fucking years is nothing compared to AB's Conservatives'. And it sucks for them but I care about AB's healthcare more because I live here, not in BC. I will hold those who have been in charge here accountable, unlike you.
I’m terrified of getting like something that needs an emergency life saving surgery and dying from sepsis waiting for the life saving emergency surgery or operation you’d need to get to save you from death. Our lives clearly mean fuck all to the UCP anyday after election day.
As horrible as it feels to say, I’m glad my father passed before the UCP finished stripping down healthcare for their own gain. I don’t even want to imagine how bad the experience would be now
At least once a year on average someone dies in a Canadian ER waiting to be treated, look at the statistics if you dont believe me.
I know your objectively bias little peanut of a brain can't wrap your head around the idea that bad heathcare isn't something exclusive to the AHS, in fact looking at the statistics Alberta's Heathcare is pretty much on par with the nathonal average.
Add to that the wait times in emergency rooms that have killed in BC in the past few years, emergency room closures that are putting people at risk, doctors shortages, etc.
Exactly, this is a national crisis. I have my issues with the UCP as much as the next person but a lot of these folks need to pull their heads out of their asses and come back down to reality, especially when it comes to heathcare.
The crazy thing is Alberta is pretty much on par with the rest of the country when it comes to heathcare, not that that's something to brag about.
Fear. The UCP manufactures a boogie man, tells uneducated masses that the boogie man is the source of their problems and in the mass hysteria people vote against their own self interest.Â
Danielle Smith: “When you think about everything that built up before you got to Stage 4 and that diagnosis, that's completely within your control and there's something you can do about that that is different”
She had two small children.
She went to er complaining of extreme abdominal pain and blood in her urine they told her to go home and stop wasting thier time went to her gp and died waiting to see an oncologist. She went to er in June she just passed.
Man who tries to advocate for separation from Canada…. Worried won’t receive medical benefit his party is actively trying to make private on a provincial level. Maybe he should go to the UsA to get a taste of over priced medical care?
I hate to be a negative Nancy about this but those who voted for this doesn't care. More or less, because it's a PoC, it no sweat off of their backs. Some MAGA jerks might think this is a good thing.
The majority of Alberta voted for this, they'll vote for it again.
THEN DONT VOTE UCP
This man is an avid and vocal UCP Supporter and has been for years.
Perhaps he can then call up his MLA (Sturmbanfuhrer Smith) and ask for a hug ...
She is not my MLA.
I am not.
Since when?
Right. Such problems don't occur in NDP BC... /s
Our healthcare in AB was top class in 2018 and the NDP were building another hospital. Wild what's happened since then.
I don't give two shits about other provinces parties. The UCP is actively fucking things up here.

and this attitude right here is exactly why we are in the position we are in. Thanks for being an enabler.
Go ahead, continue to ignore inconvenient truths. That will surely solve the healthcare crisis!
go ahead and dismiss the problems we have because "they are everywhere" rather than actually try to make things better.
You don't want improvement, you don't want to hold anyone accountable, you just want to wait for it to get worse.
that will surely solve the healthcare crisis.
The UCP literally cancelled the hospital the NDP started in Edmonton. Edmonton has doubled in size since they last got a hospital.
And the superlab
Don’t investigate the stories of hospitals in Red Deer or Grande Prairie. It will break your heart
Pretty sure it strikes fear into all of us.
This government has to go. With the wealth Alberta has our healthcare system should be gold fucking plated.
I’m terrified of getting like something that needs an emergency life saving surgery and dying from sepsis waiting for the life saving emergency surgery or operation you’d need to get to save you from death. Our lives clearly mean fuck all to the UCP anyday after election day.
Well, don't be terrified right now, that's not a way to live life, but do know it's a real possibility if you end up in an emergency situation.
As horrible as it feels to say, I’m glad my father passed before the UCP finished stripping down healthcare for their own gain. I don’t even want to imagine how bad the experience would be now
This is what Alberta voted for……..
Yet these kinds of things happen all over the country....
Edit: its really frightening how ignorant some of you are at dealing with reality.
The UCP did just cancel the construction of a new hospital in south Edmonton.
Edit. Spelling
The construction too!
Whoops thanks
lol bad bot, you are incorrect

Maybe next time to be an ignorant twat...
He is not incorrect
Nice job on deleting your other post....

Oh look another one

Are there?
And it’s especially bad where the Cons are in power. See AB & ON.
Oh yeah? Can we get some examples?

National issue, indeed; not province specific.

I still don't know why this province keeps on voting UCP forever!!

I just had a 36 year old friend die of cancer waiting to see an oncologist.
Danielle Smith: “When you think about everything that built up before you got to Stage 4 and that diagnosis, that's completely within your control and there's something you can do about that that is different”
Ugh that's tough. What type of cancer did he have?
36!!! What a tragedy. Im so sorry.
She had two small children. She went to er complaining of extreme abdominal pain and blood in her urine they told her to go home and stop wasting thier time went to her gp and died waiting to see an oncologist. She went to er in June she just passed.
That is awful. Im so sorry.
Hows that UCP health care going
Wake up UCP voters. Most of you will need healthcare sooner than later!
Remind people that the UCP did cancel the constitution of a new hospital in south Edmonton.
“We” voted for this.
[deleted]
This sub is Alberta not specifically Edmonton so that’s why I said “we”
I certainly didn’t

I hope more people come forward to shame this govt. Many people don’t know because they are in a bubble and don’t read or watch the news.
Many non-UPC voters are also suffering, so much depends on the riding you live in, your individual vote can rarely turn the tide
More people are starting to turning into Walter Whites at this rate
