Had some trouble with my safety selector on my AR-15 and the advice I was given online was “Make sure the tapered side of the safety detent pin is facing upwards and the spring in perfectly aligned with the hole and your shirt is on the right way blah blah blah” then I had trouble with my AK safety. What was the advice I got online you ask? “FUCKING BEND IT” (It worked).
Plus if you ever fall in a lake while it's freezing outside. You can still take the safety off. AR15 not so much.
And, you can't use an AR-15 for a hammer. So, there's that.
I think every ak guy has bent ak selector in their life
