when i try to export something it just sticks on the encoding bar at 0 forever. it never did this before 12.3. is there anyone having this same problem or anyone with a solution
Finally more people with this issue. Ableton support questioned me at first, but they quickly responded saying it was a known issue with 12.3. I reverted to 12.2.7 and it works fine. I sent them about 10 crash reports using different settings. The current temporary workaround in 12.3 is to record your project into a resampled audio track and then export that audio. That's what they told me at least.
I tried many other things like disabling VSTs, freezing tracks. Nothing worked. Sometimes it would let me export like 30 seconds, but never the full project.
I've sent almost 10 crash reports in the last 2 days as well as a tech support email today... Waiting on their response from that.
I just updated from 11 standard to 12 suite and didn't have this issue until after the upgrade... Ugh I think that I'm going to do this as well; roll back to 12.2.7.
Not sure if it's the same, but I have an issue where it often (so not always) hangs on Resampling after rendering is complete. It just stays on 0% in the dialog, but curiously my Push 3 says it's at 100%.
When I render to 48khz (so without resampling) there's no problem. Only way out when it hangs there is to kill Live from task manager. This is on Windows 10 btw.
This is fmu cuz I leave the call and close discord now it wanna export
I hope they can fix that in 12.3.2 cause I still wanna talk to my friends while I’m chopping up😭😭
Has nothing to do with Discord(which i didnt have), ive posted same tech problem here earlier . That happens like 50% random for me. And same stuff on last beta. Didnt check it on my old macbook.

I had this issue, and one of my plugins ended up running in the background the entire time, causing way too much CPU usage. If you have any cracked or even old plugins, they seem to be the issue even if they are not used in that particular track.
also deleting alllll ableton files and redownloading the program, helped. (at least on maciOS )

Thanks for the info.
12.3 is pretty crashy... Only, I can't go back to 12.2.7, because Ableton won't let me open those projects I worked on with 12.3

This issue is usually caused by an armed track.
Have had this issue myself and submitted it to helpdesk. They've suggested that it could be related to discord, though how I'm not sure.
It's not always repeatable either, sometimes it hangs outputting just the WAV, sometimes the MP3.

Hey I'm just telling you what I was told by support, it's something to try until we have a proper fix.
Ок. Im going to reverse on 12.2.7, there was no problems.
Same issue.
Same problem - no response from Ableton support.

Have you restarted your Computer?
Same issue. Was exporting a full drum track (just main), VERY slowly exports then freezes on encoding.
File never actually exports.
I separated one kick by itself, and that exported fine (although still a little slow i feel)
Same Here ! since the new update 12.3. exporting files have been an problem.
No issues here. But im on live 12.3.5 beta. Just exported wav files couple days ago. 44hz, 24bits, triangular dither. Exported in seconds.
MacOs or win?
Both
Bros dad works for ableton
Anyone that has paid for ableton can be a beta tester.
lol
Why are you trying to encode it as a 320kbps mp3?
also this happens even with .wav files so it doesnt really matter
Okay, maybe if I could see the rest of the export window I’d have a little more info?
not final trying to show my friend without having to weigh down the wifi tryna send a .wav
Try bouncing a normal wav and just compress it a different way?
