It is not. As with many small towns here in Montana, although the original 'town' no longer exists, the churches still manage to stay funded. It's a pretty church architecturally, too!
Thanks for the kind words. Lennep was originally a railroad/farming community about 100 years ago. As with many towns, when the railroad stopped servicing it, it eventually turned into a ghost town. I think there's just three active residences in the community now.
We have rural mail carriers (they'll also pick up your outgoing). See the mailboxes on the side of the general store? The mail carrier just puts the mail in those boxes and then the folks who live in the area drive to those boxes. Sorta common in the less populated areas.
Thanks for the kind words! As a side note; because I am quite mad, I will go back to a location many, many times before I get the kind of sky that I want! My friends just shake their heads at me....
Great shot!
Thank you, my friend!
I almost asked if it was still in use and remembered it was posted on Abandoned. I need to go to bed!
Awesome pic
Thanks so much!
I wonder if the church is abandoned too.

Great Pix. (Why was this building built? Here?)

How do they mail anything now? Do they get mail?

What a gorgeous photo! I see what they mean when they call it a "Big Montana Sky."

The difference between an insipid snapshot, and a work of art.
Incredible photo - got an Ansel Adams vibe to it
