  • in a Dialyn,Yixua ,Lucia team what's the character order for optimal rotation

  • Is ellen still worth pulling? I really lover her but ye shunguang is around the corner.. i'm 40 wishes away from a s rank (no guarantee)

Define "worth pulling", it's not like she's bad or people don't get S-ranks with her. Same with Hugo, SAnby and others.

But Shungu is all but guaranteed to be OP on purpose. If that's all you care about, save your pulls for her.

I just wanted to know if she is somehow useful or strong since is an "old" character. Anyway i gave up and pulled her, i like her too much.

  • Couldn’t get Dialyn’s weapon this banner 🥲

  • Hello, I’m curious whether a Ryzen 5 3400G with Vega 11 graphics and 16 GB of DDR4 RAM (2×8 GB dual-channel) can run Zenless Zone Zero at low to medium settings with a stable 40-60 FPS. I know ZZZ is more demanding than simpler titles and that Vega 11 is older integrated graphics, but I’m hoping dual-channel RAM helps performance. I’m okay with turning down settings, or using any tweaks needed for smoother gameplay. I’m not looking for high/ultra settings—just consistent performance without frequent stutters. Any of your experience with this APU on Zenless Zone Zero would be super helpful.

I've got a Vega 8 and am able to run the game just fine at 40-60 frames, and it runs well enough that I'm even able to multitask with a browser open. It's playable at max graphics but I wouldn't recommend it.

Two areas, Lumina Square and Aerospace City, are notorious for stutters and frame drops, but based on what I've seen that seems to affect a lot of people, even those with decent hardware. The start of every new patch also performs a lot worse, but I'm not sure if that's exclusive to me since I've not really seen anyone mention it happening to them before.

Dual-channel helps, I tried the game before upgrading my RAM (same as yours) and it was basically unplayable before.

  • So I pulled Banyue (no Wengine), and I saved the last Shiyu floor, and only got A (Lucia, Banyue, Dialyn)

Is the Rubik's engine bad at him? Or is it necessary to look into the combos? Really haven't looked into it and didn't try his trial yet, but I generally know how he works from the trials.

  • When you "lose" the 50/50 to the featured character do you also get a guarantee?

It's something I've suspected since my 50/50 luck has been really good in this game, way better than Genshin that I know doesn't do this.

There's no "technically possible". You either win the 50/50 and get the limited character, or you lose it and you don't and you get a guarantee next time.

But you can get multiple S-ranks in one 10 pull, so you can lose to a standard and then get the limited with the guarantee right after. Same as in Genshin and HSR.

What it doesn't have that Genshin IIRC does is the system where if you lose 50/50 too many times then next time you lose the 50/50 the game undoes it and gives you the limited.

  • Anybody got the link for that one Dialyn move where she spin sits? Im trying to recreate the moves by I can't seem to figure it out

  • I gave in and pulled Dialyn , no weapon tho , somehow leveled random discs and have 92,2% critrate already

My question is which weapons should I give her? I have Marato but crit overkill already , Hellfire gears , Steam Oven, Fossil Core , Restrained , Box Cutter

Hellfire Gears, and if you reached that CR with 2pc Woodpecker a 2pc Swing Jazz/Moonlight would be better instead, more RPS is better than more DPS.

    Gears. She wants ER.

  • Top 5 mindscapes to invest vertically?

The one I've been happiest with is Yixuan M1 the free ult for every farming run is convenient when I'm being lazy.

Prob sup ones, anything with RES Shed is massive, normally they M1 (Yuzura, Astra, Dialyn, Lucia, Trigger), Some of them can be used together so both M1 shed will stack. Another char to invest like this, is any of the Titled chars (Miyabi, Shifu, New girl next patch) till M2… They are already strong and reliable at M0, getting them to M2 make them last even longer, and even more if you got the M1 for they dedicated supports.

  • I’ve 450 pulls for Ye shuanguang and her signature! how.. likely is it that i get her M2 S1? I whaled for those pulls… AND I DONT WANNA DRAIN MORE OF MY POOR WALLET 😭 LMAOOO!!!

  • What do i need to improve in my gameplay and builds for this Manato/Pan/Lighter team to 20k Wandering Hunter?

    Here's a run.

    • Your rotations generally look correct for M2, with one problem I'll come back to at the end. Try to feed Manato a few more parries but this is pretty minor as you still got your first two ults and those are the tougher ones.
    • Your Manato build looks good except for the obvious problems (mindscapes, wengine) which you have no way to fix right now. I think Pan maybe wants kaboom or something (just for ER) but idk?
    • Your team investment is really bad. Lighter is the only premium team member here and he barely counts given his AA isn't active. I think you need a properly invested Dialyn or something on this team at minimum if you don't want him to feel bad, especially given Manato himself is only M2W0.
    • You want 4 stuns vs WH. Your first stun is maybe a few seconds late but it isn't a crisis (this only matters for second stun decibels but you got ult at second stun on time so NBD), your second stun is fine, maybe a second or two late but that's just pull RNG. Your third stun is about 15 seconds late, which means you have no time for a fourth stun at all. I think a fourth stun would've been 20k here even setting aside other comments.
    • Your big mistake with your rotation is not having EX up for stun. This isn't always comfortable and is usually not as important, but ideally on most weeks you want to do Chain -> cancel -> EX -> Chain, which basically just buys you a bit of free spare time in the stun window and stacks Yunkui Tales faster. However, this week it's really really important to get this right, as you have 40% fire damage bonus locked behind EX special. The ideal rotation is EX -> swap to stunner -> stun -> Chain -> cancel -> swap -> Chain, but if you do Chain -> cancel -> EX -> swap -> Chain it isn't the end of the world.

I think you can get to 20k if you fix the EX special and the fourth stun (with EX/ult on at minimum stuns 1/2/4) but the team investment issue is also gonna hurt you more every week until it's addressed or pulls even perfect gameplay below 20k.

    >Your rotations generally look correct for M2, with one problem I'll come back to at the end. Try to feed Manato a few more parries but this is pretty minor as you still got your first two ults and those are the tougher ones.

    Cool.

    >Your Manato build looks good except for the obvious problems (mindscapes, wengine) which you have no way to fix right now. I think Pan maybe wants kaboom or something (just for ER) but idk?

ER is better for him than his own engine?

Def. I've got m0r1 Dialyn but i'll be using her with Yi Xuan on the Thrall.

Is there a way to do this consistently? Do his parries build the meter for it?

ER is better for him than his own engine?

I am not a Pan player myself but giving him some random ER supp engine is normal, yes. His Wengine does nothing useful unfortunately.

I've got m0r1 Dialyn but i'll be using her with Yi Xuan on the Thrall.

You'll probably be better off stealing at least one of Dialyn or Lucia for Manato just to balance your team power a bit, but your call.

What can i do to get that 4th stun?

I haven't tried using Lighter as I don't have him, so this part is speculative.

First level assists to 11 on both Lighter and Pan (13 for Pan if factoring in mindscape), and in general any character on any team who takes defensive assists. The daze difference is really considerable: around 50% more for Pan 3->13, and 15% more for Lighter (7->11). If you don't want to level Pan then never parry to him.

Then do some testing and see if you just ape the boss fishing for a quick stun what you can achieve. Write down times to finish mech, second stun start, second stun end, third stun start. 1:50, 1:35, 1:16, 1:00 would be great.

Do some experimenting to see what improves things. Lighter's 3s extension makes things harder. It's probably gonna be tight. You will also need to make sure Lighter has maxed resources coming out of second stun, which shouldn't be too hard as second stun is just about breaking miasma.

I watched a few recordings I had on hand (my run with an underinvested level 40 Koleda and Lin-0's Manato/Dialyn/Lucia run in his Banyue YouTube showcase) it's really just stun speed diff. Both Koleda and Dialyn have crazy burst stun potential. 15s ish, vs 28s ish for you. I'm not sure if Lighter can match that, you'll have to test.

Is there a way to do this consistently? Do his parries build the meter for it?

The only way Manato gets energy is by doing attacks on-field, so it's mostly just field time diff. He has no passive regen, and any attacks once he tags out (e.g. finishing AFU when you parry to another char) don't count either. By default I think AFU and basic are similar regen, maybe slight edge to AFU, but you get a big regen bonus if your attack burns HP so you need heals. Your best heals are Manato chains/ults but you're already getting those (4th stun notwithstanding), so instead you need to get secondary healing from on-field parries. You're already doing this too. You're just swapping off him too quickly and thus not getting the adren.

The only free regen mech is when you break his miasma shield it will give you basically a full refund. So ideally what you should do is:

    1. Get miasma shield down very low
    2. Swap to Manato if not already onfield
    3. EX special
    4. Swap to lighter
    5. Break shield and proc stun

This instantly refunds gauge and means third EX is trivial, whereas third stun is the tightest otherwise and hardest to get.

Other than that your energy regen is very close to being good. If you can just get EX at the start of your first stun then the rest should flow naturally, as you will rebuild mostly during stun.

  • How do u play miyabi, Ive been playing her wrong as a crit dps with lighter lucy and shes been clearing too but the content is getting harder and i still havent been able to get more than 2 stars on deadly assault

Miyabi is a crit-scaling Anomaly main dps, so you probably aren't too far off if you played her as a crit dps. What mindscape is Miyabi? If she's M2+, you could keep playing her that way and be reasonably close to optimal play.

If she's less than M2, she benefits more from Disorders, which means she needs a Disorder partner, ideally another Anomaly agent, like Yanagi or Vivian. The sub-Anomaly would take Lighter's place. Are you familiar with Disorder rotations? If you are not, here's a 2 minute video guide. Here's a longer and better made guide.

Once you take Lighter out, Lucy is no longer a good Support for Miyabi. Do you have any S-rank supports you could use instead like Astra or Rina, and if not, you can use Soukaku or Nicole?

For Miyabi's build in the current meta, she should have more PEN and PEN Ratio. If Miyabi does not have her sig, consider equipping her with Fusion Compiler and change disc slot 5 to PEN Ratio. Maybe even switch your 2p set to Puffer. However, don't sacrifice too much Crit Rate by making these changes. You need at least 68% on the stat sheet, but the closer to 80% you can get without going over, the better.

I just have sig and m0 but the only anomaly units i have are jane, alice, and yazuha. Could i do something like sokaku and yazuha?

Skk/Yuzuha is her best team if you know what you're doing. Alice/Yuzuha is also very strong and easier to get right as long as you're comfortable swapping characters during charge attack animations. I wouldn't use Jane.

You have Yuzuha???? I just assumed you didn't, since you weren't using her in your Miyabi team. You should absolutely use Yuzuha.

Miyabi/Soukaku(Anomaly)/Yuzu is arguably the best team against Bringer, so yes. The rotation is unique, so make sure you find a rotation guide video for that team, which is sometime erroneously called "mono-ice". You'll have to build Soukaku for Anomaly also.

It's too bad your other Anomalies are Physical, since right now, there are a lot of bosses that are resistant to Physical. But under other circumstances, either Miyabi/Alice/Yuzu or Miyabi/Jane/Yuzu would be a good team. Using Alice is kind of overkill, since she's a strong main dps all on her own.

Ill get on soukaku building after some finishing touches for my manato team but can I use lighter on anything? I like using him but i dont have evelyn, only miyabi, S11, and Manato for fire/ice dps

That's one of her strongest teams, Soukaku must be built with 4Pc Freedom and AM.

Miyabi/Soukaku/Yuzuha is her best team atm, actually so yeah.

Build Soukaku for Anomaly and give her an ER w-engine.

  • Is there a good rule of thumb on when I should stop farming disks and start rolling stats to look for actual useful ones? I'm running "basically ok" disks on my characters with only the main stat in mind rn and simply spam disk stages daily, leaving everything I get at lvl 1 due to "what if I'll get better disk for that slot" mentality.

I only prefarm before I pull a new agent. Once I have the agent, I get all the rest of their S-rank discs from rolling in Bardic Needle. If it's a brand new disc set that is designed to be used with the new agent and there was no opportunity to prefarm, I go straight to Bardic Needle.

In Bardic Needle, I'll start with any-slot discounted 10-pulls to fill in any gaps in main stats. That usually gets me 4 out of 6 slots pretty cheaply. The last two are usually slot 5 and either slot 4 or slot 6. For those remaining slot main stats, I use selected slot rolls at double price until I get a decent disc. I trash most of the rest of the discs I roll. For slot 5, I don't waste a lot of 10-pulls, since the odds are against getting what you want, so I use up to 3 Tuning Calibrators to get the right main stat in slot 5.

Once the initial main stats are good, I go ahead and level all the equipped discs up to max level. That's a workable build for the agent. I can fine-tune their substats later, using Routine Cleanup, over many days or weeks. Don't skip on leveling equipped discs just because you might get a better one later -- you are CERTAIN to get a better one later, but who knows how long that will take? It could literally be months. I'm still trying to get a better slot 6 for Lucia, as one recent example. Leveling mats for discs are not that hard to get.

I have a large bank of gold currency so I immediately roll 300 discs when I get a new dps and then farm that domain for a chance at upgrades, for the other support disc, and to replace the initial disc spend. I generally just stay on the cleanup until I want to farm something else.

I generally take every 2 crit disc to +9 to see how it rolls and every disc with an empty slot and a crit sub goes to +3 to see if it rolls into the other. I go through once every 2-3 weeks or when I finish farming and roll the discs in one big batch using the filter options to select the subsets I care about. I don't even look at most discs.

My personal rule of thumb is:

    • Only farm disks in routine cleanup if both disks are useful to me.
    • Roll without targeting a slot if I don't have +4 useful subs on disks 1/2/3, as otherwise extra disks 1/2/3 are always relevant. Try to prioritize rolling for disks that I don't want to run routine cleanup for
    • Once I have +4 on disks 1/2/3, or really need to replace a specific disk, roll while targeting that slot (4/5/6)
    • Use tuners whenever I feel like it for disks which I would otherwise target-roll for, or when initially building a character and just trying to get something viable online
    • Never slot target 1/2/3 under any circumstances

Never actually tried tuning, have been piling golden disks up so far. Thanks for the heads up

As long as you dismantle bad disks you will get a lot of tuners (also dismantle all blue/purple disks and upgrade the mats to gold tuners). Definitely should be a regular part of your disk upgrading process!

  • new player, came for AOD, how long until their banner releases and the free bunny character arrives?

One is likely to be in a later banner than the other. We'll know more about timing in Friday's livestream, but roughly speaking, bunny will be in January and AoD might be in February, assuming AoD is released in the patch (2.6) after bunny (2.5). Since there are 3 members of AoD, it's not clear if they will cram all three into a single patch, making one an A-rank or doubling up an S-rank banner for the first time, or if they will spread AoD over two consecutive patches.

  • I have Jane and Vivian on my roster. Which 3rd slot agent would be more valuable on their rerun: yuzuha or burnice?

Yuzuha, this team as a whole would perform on Void Hunter level with that setup

Yuzuha no question. Any anomaly DPS is replaceable, whereas Yuzuha raises all of them to new heights. You already have two anomaly DPS (Jane/Vivian) so you don't really need more unless you just like mixing and matching or unless you're concerned that they're getting dated.

  • Are any of these voiced?

    Lighstream Notes

    Neo Golden Mecha

    En-Nah Chess Saga

    Simulated Sequence Showdown

Lightstream Notes has some voice acting.

Neo Golden Mecha has a few lines during certain fights iirc.

    The other 2 have none.

Thanks. Do any of them contain spoilers/require context from the latest story update before playing?

Lightstream notes follows immediately after the story and picks up where the story left off, so yes for that one.

Chess has no spoilers or context. YSG shows up briefly, but no more spoilery than when she showed up before.

Neo Golden Mecha has previous Golden Mecha event context, but not for the 2.4 story.

Sim Sequence Showdown sort of has very, very slight story context, since it's assumed to happen after the events of the story, but it's only the quest-givers for the event that are tied to story, the rest of the event is not. Very light story spoilers.

  • im playing dialyn with astra (trial) and miyabi (trial) but i cannot activate dialyns special thing by holding down her attack button even though her special energy bar is full, what am i doing wrong? works as intended with for billy/nicole

are there some teams that deny her "chain-attack to ultimate" thing?

What's happening when you try? If it's using her own ultimate, it's one of the hollow zero gears.

thats the thing, nothing happens. i hold down the button and it just doesnt do anything. usually she does her little cinematic attack then the chain attack select screen. works with other characters just fine. cant remember having selected gear in the beginning that would prevent this but i will check again

Are you sure you have enough gauge to do it? As well as the little dot, but you get one of those when your gauge fills up so that part is likely fine. Basic question I know, but there’s no reason this wouldn’t work.

yeah a little more than full, it has worked before
gonna try again soon though, maybe the update changed something

  • How good are bangboo copies and are they worth getting? Any particular ones that are good to go for if so?

Mostly just the 2.x faction ones, 3 copies if you want to activate their additional ability with only one faction member if it matters.

Depends. I heard Robin and Snap get good benefits from additional copies. Miss Esme, Birkblick and Mercury reduce their agent requirement for their additional ability from 2 to 1 with 3 copies (2 extra past the first one).

The agent requirement reduction is something I didn't know about before. Good to know. I am curious about the damage increase too. Do bangboos even deal good damage with copies to justify getting em stronger?

Afaik not really. Snap gets more dmg buff for your agents, Robin gets more anomaly buildup for Vivian, it's more so extra utility like this that stands out and makes it more worth.

  • Help I have the ultimate first world problem my literal top 3 favorite agents are Nicole, Astra and Lucia, all of which hardly have much synergy

You can build and play either Nicole or Astra to be a main dps. I've even solo'd Astra in Hollow Zero with all her gear. I suppose you can do that for Lucia too, but most of her value comes from her Aftershocks, so it's kind of a big sacrifice to on-field her all the time.

Nicole is by far the easiest to main with the least sacrifice for doing so, so go for it.

And they are all Ether Attribute, so that's something.

While they may not work as well together, they are all great supports when using them to benefit different teams.

Lucia is oriented towards supporting Rupture characters; Astra is generally flexible with her buffs being fairly universal, so she works well in many different teams. Nicole works best with Ether DPS characters such as Zhu Yuan and Yixuan, but her defense debuff and ability to work with different builds are valuable for other characters too, so she's still fairly strong as a F2P / budget option.

Uhh yeah, hence my first world problem

  • What is Ye Shunguang’s cup size? I need it for research purposes.

  • Context: Just started a few months ago. I have 1 team, Mono ice, kind of a second one (Trigger, Orphie, Manato/S11) that I plan on fleshing out when Sanby reruns. I need a third team. I plan on getting Ye Shunguang, but issue is I have legitimately like no one to run her with. No other supports of any kind really, and no spare stunner. I do have Pulchra but no investment whatsoever and I hear she's not great till M6. Only other supports left are level 1 Lucy, Pan who's more of a rupture buffer, and a somewhat built Nicole, but she seems a hit at odds with Ye Shunguang's gimmick.

I have 24000 polychrome and roughly 50 more pulls between actual encrypted master tapes and fading signals. First pity (50\50) 32 away. Is it worth trying to snag Dialyn before her banner ends in a little over a day and a half?

Dialyn is letting people get great scores with agents like Corin and Nekomata. She gets 4 stuns against WH straight through phys resist (granted, with sig). I'd pull her if you are even remotely tempted in her. She's crazy. She's Yuzuha for anyone who wants a stunner.

That being said, if you do pull her, I'd be prepared to skip either Sanby or YSG as a Sanby rerun in 2.5 is not unlikely (just based on timing, we unfortunately won't know for sure until after Dialyn's banner ends) and your odds of getting both Sanby/YSG with zero pulls to start are not amazing. In that position it's hard to say, YSG will probably be stronger but Sanby will probably not get a second rerun for much longer than YSG's first. YMMV.

  • Hey... I'm new to the game and all that, but my question isn't gameplay related, but music related. I'm in love with the game's vibe in general, and there's an especific song I like a lot, which is "60% Daily - Freedom", and I wanted to look for things that are similar, but I don't know much about music genres, so... If anyone could help me, I'd appreciate it a lot.

That would be pretty tough to find, since it's more of a mood than a genre. It's pretty jazzy, so city jazz or maybe melodic funk might be genres to explore?

FWIW, here's the Spotify link for that track:

  • It doesn't really matter because these are all craftable and trivial to get, but you are most likely to use the fossilized core or puzzle sphere.

  • Are the Asian servers down currently? I can't log in on anything Zzz ,Genshin. , HSR .

  • Hey y'all. I haven't open zzz in like almost 2 weeks. How long do we have to not play until we get the returning player rewards? I remember one of the big 4 having like 2-3 weeks only.

  • So, early on there was some talk about how Ye Shunguang was a Li Sushang expy (fair enough, definitely on looks). It also seems like she's a bit of an Acheron expy, though:

    1) Black, white, and red color theme in her empowered state
    2) Acheron is a Emanator, Shunguang is the next Void Hunter
    3) Acheron gave up memories as an Emanator for Nihility, Shunguang seems to be going down the same route for her sword.

Or am I seeing parallels that aren't really there?

neither really make sense to me as being variants. Li Sushang moveset was farmed out to Yanqing in HSR while the actual variant has basically none of it, so I would not consider that a defining characteristic of her variants and she doesn't have Sushang extreme low level of book smarts which is what unifies the two versions in my mind. I would just think of the moveset as being more general Wuxia martial artist inspired then belonging to any specific character.

Acheron is also pretty questionable as one thing they generally like in variants is having similar personality traits and here there is very little overlap between Shunguang and the general Mei personality, Shunguang is way too happy go lucky to fit with Mei's fairly serious personality. Fu Hua is also another example of them liking to do white red for powered up states so I don't see it as something identifies a variant.

I don't think it is crazy to see some narrative parallels between Acheron and Shunguang but that doesn't make characters variants.

Ok, variants/expies was definitely over-extending it then. I don't really know HI3 so I wasn't aware that Li Sushang's moveset went to Yanqing, so thanks for the info.

I am curious to see if the memory issue is "solved", or if we're seeing a parallel track to what Acheron experienced at the start of her Emanator-ship.

I seeing parallels that aren't really there?

This. They repeat themes and color schemes but when they do an expy it's pretty clearly and deliberately an expy. Mei, Raiden Mei, and Acheron; Yae Sakura and Yae Miko; Kiana and the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles; Bronya, Bronya, Silver Wolf; Seelie and Seelie; etc. I can see arguments for things like Kevin and Phainon but I tend to be in the "not an expy" camp on those and for ZZZ in particular the team seems to want to separate the lore from the rest of the sea of quanta/imaginary tree lore they have everywhere else so I do not expect expys here.

ZZZ in particular the team seems to want to separate the lore from the rest of the sea of quanta/imaginary tree lore they have everywhere else so I do not expect expys here.

It's not just "seems": ZZZ Devs are on record explicitly saying that ZZZ is entirely separated from Honkai-verse.

  • You can buy one copy in the Signal Shop with the Immediate Invitation Gift.

They usually run A-ranks alongside S-ranks that would work well with them, which means for Manato I'd expect whenever a stunner or Lucia or something is rerunning. But they could just do it whenever if they feel he hasn't been in rotation long enough.

We will know if he is uprate on one of the next two banners after the livestream, he is not uprate on the current banner or the Banyue banner outside of that he should be in the general pool.

  • Building my Yanagi and have 2 big questions.

Fusion Compiler vs Lip Gloss(Max) vs Gemini(Max)?

Attack vs Electric vs Pen% for slot 5?

At the moment i have Lip Gloss on her with a Pen% 5(it rolled good AP) but was wondering what to go with overall among those options.

My intention is to mainly use her with Miyabi

If you're playing her as sub DPS you are not going to be able to maintain fusion compiler uptime, so that should make Weeping the best (but it and Lip Gloss should be pretty close and might even depend on your support Wengine).

That was kindah what i was leaning towards as well, esp since im either rocking a Yuzuha w/ Kaboom of Vivian w/ sig as the 3rd.

Is a pen% 5 still solid, or better to go for a attack% or electric%

As long as you aren't leaning into def shred or something the gap between those three is usually smaller than substat diff, so just use whichever has the best substats and IIRC all else equal pen/electric are both good. Yanagi likes pen because she gets 10% baseline from her kit.

  • My computer did not want to run the game on an external ssd and my phone was too old

Have space on internal ssd now and a new phone. Can you sell me on the game? What makes it better than the other gachas? Is the game good mobile exclusive?

I don't know why you are getting downvoted. It's a legit question.

I can't answer the mobile question since I play on PS5 and PC. But I'll give the rest a shot.

At the time it was released, it was one of very few urban scifi/cyberpunk genre gachas, so the setting and character designs were a nice change from the more typical magical fantasy or space fantasy genres. Since then, Neverness to Everness went into beta and Ananta showed gameplay, so it's no longer rare in that genre. Still, you can actually play it and it has a year and a half of content to explore and enjoy, so that's something.

It's a Hoyo gacha, so the gambling isn't great but isn't terrible either. Pretty mid in terms of exploitative elements. I've played worse drop rates and pity systems. However, even compared to other Hoyo gachas, it's above average for f2p players. Powercreep is happening, but it's happening slower than most other gachas, and people are still clearing the hardest content with starter characters. That probably won't last forever and it's a much bigger struggle now than a year ago, but the fact that it is even possible, even with A-ranks (4-stars), is remarkable and pretty unusual.

Finally, combat is still top tier. That was a stand-out feature when it was first released and is still very strong. You'll see some debate (read, keyboard warrior brawling) about whether WUWAs combat is better/worse than ZZZ. I don't play WUWA so I don't have an opinion, but anyone who says ZZZ combat is trash or for babies doesn't know what they are talking about. Don't take my word for it, you can see plenty of gameplay clips on YouTube and decide for yourself.

  • my friend is finally ready to try the game but is debating between joining now or waiting until a new player event. do we think there will be one in 2.5? if so will the rewards even be worth it? cause he wants banyue, and im going to make him pull ye shunguang for his own good

waiting until a new player event

Both "New Player" and "Returner" events we had so far in ZZZ only really provided notable net-positive reward compared to usual stuff to those who sent a referral codes, and even for those it was not a lot of premium currency (if my memory serves it was less than a pull per redeemed code).

waiting until a new player event

Will be waiting a long time. I can't recall a new player event in any Hoyo game outside HI3 and that was semi-permanent (got updated once in the 3 years I was playing).

If he wants Banyue, forget about waiting. Banyue has a shortened banner. Besides, what your friend would earn from dailies and weeklies alone by starting early would likely far exceed anything a new player event would give.

  • Just got back into the game after a long tjme

Is it just me or the new areas are kinda laggy?

I am running it on 5070ti, my CPU is underclocked to avoid heating issues but usually in other games I get 160+fps easily

But I am getting 40 in the new areas in zzz for some reason....

It's not just you. The new areas are laggy, but they used to be a whole lot worse. Aerospace City was literally unplayable (crashes, lock-ups, stutter so severe it looked like a slide show), but over the course of several patches it improved. So now it's playable but laggy in certain areas.

    I am barely getting 60fps

    I hope they fix it

  • Above all else, pull the characters you would enjoy. Everything that follows is based on meta value, not who you like/dislike.

If you only consider the current banner, which is Dialyn and Hugo, it would be Dialyn the stunner.

However, you need main dps type agents more than a stunner, so it might make sense to wait a few days and get Banyue in the next banner. You could also or alternatively get Ellen, but I don't generally recommend pulling reruns over new characters, unless the rerun is specifically Miyabi, Yixuan, or a limited Support.

More importantly, a new Void Hunter is coming in the next patch, so make sure that whatever you do in this patch, you are going to have at least 20k polychromes (125 pulls) saved towards pulling Ye Shunguang.

With all that considered, the overall priority ought to be: Ye Shunguang > Dialyn > Banyue > (any rerun, unless it's one of the special ones I mentioned above.)

For your existing roster, first pick a main dps you want to play. That could be Billy, Corin, or Anton. Build them first -- unless you pull Banyue, in which case build him instead. Then build Nicole. Then build Anby (unless you pull Dialyn).

    new Void Hunter

I have now idea what that is😅😂. R they like archons from genshin, or emanators from HSR?

So its better to save for now, huh?

First build dps(billy, corin, anton or banyue), then build nicole, and then build..?

Yes, they are like Archons and Emanators. Miyabi was the first Void Hunter. Yixuan was the second.

Then build a stunner. If Anby is the only one you got, build Anby.

Attack or Rupture team template = Main/Stun/Support

    Anomaly Disorder template = Main/Sub-Anomaly of a different element/Support

    So...

    stunner

    Is debugger, I assume

    template

These different types of team styles, like break, Follow up, etc. from HSR, or Vape, melte, etc. from genshin?

Yes, they are like Archons and Emanators.

Oh cool, after looking at the images of the first 2, I am interested to get them. R they good, I don't expect them to be top meta, but r they good enough?

    stunner Is debugger, I assume

Idk what you mean by debugger. Stunner is a agent class in the game, responsible for filling up the daze bar and stunning the enemy.

These different types of team styles, like break, Follow up, etc. from HSR, or Vape, melte, etc. from genshin?

Ye Attack/Ruputure/Anomaly Disorder teams are kinda like team archetypes from HSR/Genshin as you describe. But they happen to be named after the in game class of the dps used.

Oh cool, after looking at the images of the first 2, I am interested to get them. R they good, I don't expect them to be top meta, but r they good enough?

They are top meta. Well at least Yixuan is, Miyabi is showing signs of falling off and on fraud watch, but that's only because the devs are trying their best to design the endgame to counter her (she still clears). Yixuan didn't have a rerun yet so that should come up in the next few patches, Miyabi did so who knows when she returns.

    debugger

I meant debuffer, but got autocorrected😅😂

And is HIA unlocked fast or will I have to do quite some story?

You get to the HIA around chapter 1 iirc, shouldn't take too long.

  • Would puffer electro be best for Billy with Dialyn and Nicole?

Testing shows a small improvement, in the 3%-5% range, for most Attack agents. So don't expect miracles. You also have to make sure your Dialyn rotation is optimal so that you get max Ult duplication in stun windows.

  • im playing evelyn-dialyn-astra

for dialyn ult activation do i use it on astra or evelyn?

Evelyn, one Ult is stronger than two chains.

  • Y'all. How long is the 2.2 obol squad main quest?

I accidentally started it but it locked me out of doing anything. Fuck Lorenz. So, I haven't opened it in 2 weeks. I only opened it to claim the daily pulls.

I think the lockout was like an hour or two if I recall correctly, as someone who was similarly annoyed at the time.

Really? I was so annoyed that I didn't even open it.

Sorry just to be clear I mean of gameplay, not real life time.

  • The one with 80/128 Crits. I'm curious how you were able to convert 633 ATK points into so much more Crits and AP? What exactly did you change in the build? Is this with or without Miyabi's sig?

I just shifted a few discs around and switched out D4 from ATK to CR, all is with miyabi sig

  • is there a auto lock for disc drives something similar to genshin’s?

Not to my knowledge. I do disc rolling by collecting a bunch (2-4 weeks) then filtering down to one set and the thee substats I want (usually atk% and the two crit) and roll every disc with all 3 to +9 and to +15 if it rolls well, then bump the filter down to 2 required subs and roll those. Then I drop down to one and filter to disc 4/5/6 with the main stats I care about and roll those. I then go in to the reclaim screen, filter to the working disc set, and recycle all S-rank which clears everything that isn't leveled. It's quite a few steps but it's generally only a few minutes and much faster than going through every disc.

  • Wtf is going on with Tepe in critical node 6. I tap swap character EVERY time the yellow flashy shows up and still takes 4 min. Tried with both Miyabi disorder team, and Yidhari team. Both took around ~4 minutes. Every single yellow I saw I assist.

You got mono ice or Yuzu ice? It's very good on that boss.

    It was Vivian/Miyabi/Yanagi, and Yidhari/Lucia/Magnus.

Do you have Lycaon? Either Yidhari/Lycaon/Lucia or Miyabi/Lycaon/Soukaku(given that you can play it) should clear it pretty easily.

Also honestly your teams is a bit bad. For Miyabi team, just run 2 anomaly + 1 support. Triple anomaly just leads to all of them dealing mediocre damage + icd problems.

For Yidhari, replace Orphie with a stunner if possible. Preferably Dialyn or Lycaon

Isn't miyabi and vivian built for mono anomaly teams?

    who the heck is dialyn?

No, Miyabi and Vivian are not built for mono anomaly. In fact no character that exist currently that promotes mono anomaly. It is better to use a (competent) support. Mono anomaly runs into the problem of anomaly icd, where you are triggering disorder too quickly and anomalies just sit at 99% because of the cool down. And adding in a support that amplifies both your anomaly character's damage will more often than not be better.

And in the case of Miyabi/Lycaon/Soukaku, Soukaku acts as a second anomaly + support hybrid.

    As for Dialyn:

    https://preview.redd.it/jbdl93cmb67g1.png?width=1387&format=png&auto=webp&s=81813688d37dc75215e4d44f436d56b8c57658b4

    She's the current banner character

oh! that's her name, yeah she refuses to come home. Lost 50/50 and 50 pulls in and nada.

  • If we get 9 stars at Deadly Assault, get S rank at all Shiyu Defense nodes, and complete the weekly missions for Notorious Hunts, are we able to get enough Investigation Merits, to buy everything at the Investigator's Shop? Every time the shop refreshes and buy things throughout the month, I still don't have enough Merits to clear out the shop, and I been able to clear out all content with the highest rating for since January of this year.

According to this page, the totals are:

    DA = 720 every 2 weeks

    SD = 1060 every 2 weeks

    NH = 540 every 1 weeks

    So approximating for 30 days = (2.14 x 720) + (2.14 x 1060) + (4.29 x 540) = 1540 + 2268 + 2316 = 6124 ... let's say 6000 give or take, since you can't really earn IMs in single units, only by groups of 10.

Shop reset all items (except unlimited dennies) total = 7405

So no, that's not enough to clear the entire store (unlimited dennies notwithstanding).

But why would you want to clear the entire store anyway? I only buy the Tuning Calibrator (2000), the Boopons (2000), and the discounted dennies (600), so I have extra IMs left over every cycle, which carryover. So when I occasionally want to buy a Hamster Cage or Hi-Fi Masters, I can do so.

I usually buy everything but the Boopons because I feel it’s worth more to get the materials that levels up Agents, W-Engines, and discs because for the HIA club, I usually do the daily double bonus for tactical chips, agent certification seals, and w-engine modification chips. Also, I have been able to get all the S-rank Bangboo without the need of getting Boopons from the Investigator’s shop so far.

This is my roster. Also my harumasa is M1.

Any advice for deadly assault team comps?

I reinstalled a week or two ago and my teams from when I last played in 2.0 were struggling to get more than 4-5 stars.

If you want to try for 9 star I would try ZY/Dialyn/Nicole vs thrall, Yx/Panda/Trigger vs Hunter, Miyabi/Yanagi/Astra vs bringer. If you just want to try for 6 stars, put Yx/Dialyn/Panda vs either Thrall or Hunter and Miyabi/Yanagi/Astra vs Bringer.

and my teams from when I last played in 2.0 were struggling to get more than 4-5 stars

That's not necessarily a comp issue though. Even if you play someone's meta team it will still underperform if their substats aren't great, their engines aren't leveled up (yes, including the stunners and supports), or you don't play them right.

I know farming disks is a pain, but you're expected to have good substats if you want S-rank on Shiyu and DA.

As for comps for this DA:

    • Bringer: Miyabi - Yanagi - Rina

    • Wandering Hunter: Yixuan - Panda - Astra/Pulchra

    • Thrall: Attack DPS - Dialyn/Trigger - Astra/Nicole

As for which Attack agent, I've seen people get S-rank on Thrall with Harumasa, but it's hard since the fight is bugged for him. Shots passing through the boss without actually hitting, Quivers disappearing or going flying off-screen instead of at the boss, so on.

So, someone other than him. Try Nekomata or ZY.

Ok so those were the exact team comps I used previous DA. Finished at 4 stars but I was getting close to squeezing out a 5th if i had more time.

Although the 3rd team ended up doing best with dialyn + trigger. But usually i run my M1 harumasa with S1Trigger and Nicole for the massive def shred stacking

For my skills theyre mostly 11 on relevant ones.

Drive disks are pretty ok i think. Not a ton of room for improvement on miyabi, yixuan or harumasa. Yanagi has 1 disk thats really mediocre in a build thats otherwise good. Trigger could benefit from different set effects. Characters like Panda, Rina, Nicole and Astra I hit their minimum required stat goals and just stopped.

Astra needs me to level a new wengine

    Dialyn is overall a WIP.

How good of builds are expected? Usable W-engine, 2-3 disk effects, all correct main stats, with around 4-5 points each in relevant subs

At a high level, Miyabi on Bringer and Dialyn on Thrall, since the buffs and bosses are biased that way. Hunter you'll have to cobble together whoever is left.

    So maybe something like:

Bringer: Miyabi/Yanagi/(Rina, Soukaku, or Nicole) -- you need a Disorder team that doesn't use Physical for Bringer (no Piper, Jane, or Alice).

    Thrall: Yixuan/Pan/Dialyn

    Hunter: Zhu Yuan/Trigger/Astra

This is not a good cycle for Haru or electric teams, though I did 3-star Hunter with my 6-cost Trigger/S0/Orphie team. ;D

  • Upgrade how? All the agents worth upgrading are already level 60. Did you mean with mindscapes maybe? Or maybe refining equipment (grinding disc drives)?

You don't have to upgrade Rina if you don't have a team to put her on. I don't see an obvious team for her, unless you run Grace on the regular.

Should've worded It better but yes i meant who to pull next incase some agents here are underperforming

  • What can i do (other than swapping Lighter for someone else) to close the gap to 20k on Wandering Hunter with my Manato team?

Here's my run with builds at the end, this is the first time i've played him so i don't have a clue what i'm doing.

This feels doable. Can you try again after switching Pan to 4pc Astral. Moonlight Lullaby is doing nothing for Pan because of the "When the equipper is a Support character" part of the effect. And Astral is pretty easy to stack with Lighter on the team with his built in QA (if you were running Astral you would already have 2-3 stacks for most of the stuns in the video just by playing normally)

You probably already know this, but you always want to double chain, I assume it was a misclick on your 3rd stun. Also try to use your 3rd ult in stun (can be either 3rd stun or 4th stun, preferably 3rd in case you don't have time in the 4th stun but you would need to parry to Manato to get a bit more decibels), not only for the stun mult but also for Yunkui 4pc, ulting in stun will do much more damage.

Also try to parry into Manato more, he does a lot of damage on his follow ups. And try your best to not parry into Pan, it kinda does nothing, you did like 2 daze for Pan parry and follow up combined which is comically low. You are basically losing time everytime you parry to him.

Here you go. Pan's core skill is still e but he's on Astral.

    >You probably already know this, but you always want to double chain

I didn't. I was cancelling on purpose so that Manato was the only one doing chain attacks, instead of wasting time having Lighter or Pan do them.

Honestly this looks good now. I think if you can get 4th stun you will get the 20k. Either that or just delay the 3rd stun so your Manato ult lines up with the stun might also do the trick.

There are some optimizations you can do:

    • For this boss, try to start the stun with a defensive assist follow up or a dodge counter (or as soon as possible after that) The buff you get (the red shield icon under the boss bar) is very prone to running out mid stun, and in this case it fell of in the middle of your ult both stuns. And it's a pretty big damage loss if the buff runs out (like 30%)
    • You are already doing this but I'll mention it anyways: Try to Manato EX(with energy) when you are about to stun if possible. You will pre-stack Yunkui tales so each chain attack will deal a bit more damage.

Also a stupid idea: try to intentionally not activate Lighter's stun extention, idk how hard it is to do cause I don't own lighter but his stun extension is making it harder to get 4 stuns. It's probably worth to trade a few seconds of Manato basic for 2 more chains. If it's easy to do like dodge canceling his finisher then might worth a try. Or I may just be stupid

As a last resort since you want to keep it all male, I think Fufu is manly enough to be on the team, I think you should let Fufu in (you can probably already do it with Lighter tho)

    https://preview.redd.it/7fbo9fijr37g1.png?width=723&format=png&auto=webp&s=e7a44604c4a14b96d279156b9b468bf07e34f533

Alright i'm trying some of this but i'm not making much progress lol.

Actually haven't been able to break 17k since that run. Though i've improved Manato and Pan's builds a little bit.

Swap Lighter out. Without his additional ability Lighter only has the resistance shred and stun extension which isn't a lot. Blazing Laurel doesn't help much, your Manato already has plenty of Crit Damage.

You have Dialyn, use her instead. If she's busy on another team, you can try running double support with Lucia (worked for me), or swapping Panda for Lucy or Orphie (if you have her) to turn on Lighter's additional ability (can't comment on how well it performs though)

As for playing Manato, the main issue is just that he's not M6. Without M6 he's prone to running out of bar at the worst times, forcing you to stop just to recharge it.

The best you can do to avoid that is maximizing his use of defensive assist. When he parries with it he automatically recharges some bar. (Note: defensive assist, not the assist follow-up. That one is just damage) He'll still likely run out of bar here and there but as long as it doesn't happen during the stun window you're gucci.

    Besides that:

    • When the boss turns on miasma shield and you have to choose the right Lucia, swap to someone else so you can parry Hunter with Manato.

    • Never use his special to recharge unless the bar gets low, you're just shooting your damage output in the foot by doing that, especially during the stun window. Basically, you don't want to stop unless you absolutely have to.

If you're doing it just to avoid his last basic attack, don't do that, you can just swap-cancel to Panda during the animation and quick-assist back to Manato. Same with his EX.

As for builds, Manato and Lighter are fine, but Panda's is terrible. Get Moonlight Lullaby out, he's not a Support agent, the 4pc effect literally does nothing for him. Run 4pc Astral Voice (yes, even without full buff) or Proto-Punk (since you will do a lot of defensive assists)

And max out his core passive, as it is he's only giving 495 Sheer Force instead of the full 540.

I'm going to be needing Dialyn for Thrall where i'll be running Yi Xuan/Dialyn/Fufu (most likely, i'll try Ellen first but we'll see how that goes).

Would also prefer to keep the team all male if possible. I can sacrifice some crit dmg on Manato's build for more crit rate (try to shoot for a 100% after his AA + Qingming buff get added like you do with MH in Genshin).

I'll try to max Pan's core skill. And i'll switch him to Proto if i can get him to 3k attack with it.

Don't have Orphie or Lucia. This is my full roster atm.

    https://preview.redd.it/wlw1uvr6y27g1.png?width=1140&format=png&auto=webp&s=64602c8209c458bccef872e4315717a7bc68dd1a

Is it worth trying to parry some of the Hunter's red attacks with his hold ex? He does the same thing he does with his followup assist if you do that.

I'll get a new recording shortly.

Is it worth trying to parry some of the Hunter's red attacks with his hold ex? He does the same thing he does with his followup assist if you do that.

Somewhat worth it but only because of his gimmick in DA giving him stacks when you do follow-up or dodge counter. On regular gameplay it's purely damage.

I prefer dodge counter though, it's miserable when you drop your combo to try parrying only for Hunter to not hit you.

Well, Lighter needs an Attack agent or an SoC faction on the team to get his max buffs, but even without, you still get the benefit of his daze and stun window timer extension. You can try swapping Lucy in for Pan, but I doubt the loss of Pan's Sheer DMG buff and healing is worth it.

Your Manato is only M2, so this is probably as good as you are going to get. He really needs to be M6 for Deadly Assault.

I will say, you did an excellent job of taking max 5 stacks of Hunter's debuff into every stun window. You get a stack for every perfect parry and dodge counter and each stack increases Sheer DMG by 7% for a max 35% buff. The stack has a timer and only stays up for 15 seconds, so it's easy to drop at the worst time, like right before an Ultimate. Make sure you don't delay Manato's Ult too late into the stun window or you may drop the debuff stacks. There's an icon under Hunter's health bar that counts up to 5 and shows the time remaining.

Having his sig should make up for Lighter's AA.

Pan probably isn't worth swapping out (i'd like to keep this team all male if i can), i'm sure i'm doing some things horribly wrong with my rotation though, is there anything there or in my builds that i can improve?

  • Anyway to see my full pull history on the weapon banner ? Used some sites but it did not show the full history I want to know if I am guaranteed or not

They only save past 6mo, if Hoyo doesn't know then the sites won't either.

  • I just went to start the new story chapter, and none of the lines are voiced. Is this the case for the entire thing? Or is it just the start? Because I'd rather wait for it to be voiced if that's an option.

It's way worse at the start, after the first commission it's fine. Maybe like 1/10th of the stuff is unvoiced at that point, but it's a bit jarring because it's random.

(And then there are the usual unvoiced sections that have been in every patch)

  • New player here!, just wondering if you should use agents with the same attribute for more damage?

Sort of. Attribute matching is one thing to consider, but it's not the only thing and rarely is the most important thing.

Here are several things to consider. They are not in rank order, because each item interacts with every other item when making trade-off decisions:

    • Combat situational factors: Like which boss it is, what their strengths and weaknesses are, what the seasonal or floor buffs are, etc.

    • Your available roster: Which characters you have available to use in teams against that combat situation. If the floor buff helps stunners and you don't have any stunners in your roster, you can't utilize that buff.

    • Individual character kits. For example, Character A may need another Ice or Faction agent in the team to enable their Additional Ability. But the value of that AA has to be weighed against other factors.

    • The teams you can make that would benefit the most from the situation, balanced against other boss fights in the same mode that might make demands on your roster. For example, if you put your best Ice main dps on Boss #1, that main won't be available for Boss #2, which may also be weak to Ice.

    • The rotation for each team. Some rotations are a better match for a particular boss fight than others.

Attribute matching is driven by combat situational factors (Boss #1 is weak to Ice and resistant to Fire), available roster, character kits and team comps. It might make sense to set up an all Ice team against Boss #1, unless that takes a stunner away from Boss #2 that would be more beneficial. Getting the stunner bonus from Boss #2 is worth more than the Ice weakness or the Additional Ability that might be lost, so moving your Ice stunner from Boss #1 to Boss #2 may make sense, overriding Attribute matching.

  • Can you dash cancel Miyabi's ba5?

I think the other subthread is overthinking it, Miyabi's damage is charged attack >>> ult / ex / anomaly >>> nothing else matters. You should only be basic attacking on her (without M2) if you need to build anomaly or energy, basically just to waste time when nothing else is going on. You can cancel it or not cancel it or swap out or whatever, it doesn't matter.

You can but she's invincible during it anyway, you definitely shouldn't do it if you have M2.

    She's m0r1.

Normally i swap cancel into Burnice or Lucy/Yuzuha but if sometimes it seems like it might be useful to dash cancel it without swapping, do you lose any damage from dash cancelling it?

You do interrupt the attack so you lose a little DMG, since the 5th hit blocks enemy attacks you don't need to cancel it.

Is it less efficient to cancel it?

Purely speaking damage-wise yeah since you're cancelling an attack that already makes her invincible, and if she's M2 you're losing the free frost stack as well.

But doing it doesn't hurt that much since the basic combo is a small part of Miyabi's damage.

So the part of her ba5 that can you can cancel does more damage than the earlier part of her ba string that you'd do if you cancelled like Raiden's 4n4d in Genshin?

    No idea honestly

  • i did:

miyabi team on bringer, Yixuan team on thrall, Sol11 on hunter. you can change sol11 for ellen (and her respective team)

i barely just passed 20k on thrall and hunter.

Tried Ellen but she's only getting like 15.5k on Thrall. I'll try her on Hunter and Yi Xuan on Thrall i guess?

Manato/Ju Fufu/Pan into Wandering Hunter, Yixuan/Dialyn/Nicole into Thrall. Assuming everyone is built this should clear both.

    Manato isn't built.

I'm working on him, but i need to wait for weekly reset before i can core skill F. Still working on his chip skills and his disc build is ass (like 68/118 or something)

You could just steal Yixuan's disks so that part isn't important, but lacking skills might hurt a bit. That said, you have like 3 weeks so lots of time.

Does Qingming Birdcage's crit rate show on your sheet? I assume it doesn't based on similar effects but don't have it so I can't check. If not, you might actually be OK to swap disk4 to crit damage and chill with those disks. They obviously aren't perfect but they're workable.

As for skills, the only one really missing is ult. And obviously core F, but that may not make or break the run.

Hard to compare though because my Manato is M6W5 which of course makes a difference. My friend cleared with a really scuffed M1W1 Manato/M0W0 Ju Fufu/M0W0 Lucia but not sure how much the Lucia vs Pan diff makes up for build diff.

No it doesn't, so he's technically at 83% crit rate.

If i put him on cdmg disc 4 he's looking at 41/155, or 61/155 with Qingming's buff. Alternately i can swap Woodpecker for B&B with a crit rate disc 6 for a 55/138, or 75/138 with Qingqming's buff.

I've actually been farming since posting that comment so his chip skills are better now

I've got 767 battery (181 regular, the rest backup) so i'm thinking of caging his skills before i try anything. I've also got 16 of those free disc ticket things i can use to (maybe) scratch up some better Yunkui pieces for him.

Personally I just caged ultimate as with the recent DA buffs it's been where most of his damage comes from. Granted, I'm running him with Dialyn. That said, without M6 I don't know how much damage AFU is gonna contribute anyhow.

I think 61 CR is fine-ish. You get another 10 from his core. That's about where I am. Obviously more would be better but it is what it is.

  • Is it better to hold ex skill when Banyue is in his enhanced state or will manual combos do more dmg?

Manual combos do more damage because they're faster, because they get an additional finisher, and because they get an additional fire damage bonus.

is the combo still: one's path -> earth shaker -> mountain tremor -> Lion's roar, or is there a different combo during enhanced state?

My understanding is you can spam roar combo if you want to keep it simple, but sometimes you can do the other combo too if you want to be 100% optimal but this is only really relevant if you're on the cusp of a kill or something. Outside of stun you can just button mash but IIRC earth shaker is the best one (but it doesn't really matter).

That said, I recommend some of the youtube tryhard creators (Lin-0, Apel) for this stuff, they go into a lot of detail. Everything I'm reporting is second-hand from them.

    thanks for the reccomendations !

  • I heard we were getting 1600 Polychromes a week ago because the game reward, when? Because I haven't received anything

    Were getting them in 2.5

  • Hello, I just started playing today, when and how do I unlock new characters? And I tried to purchase Vivian's bathing suit but it said content locked.. how do I unlock the waifus?

There are two kinds of characters:

    • Standard banner characters (the ones you get with master tapes). You will get these as a side effect of looking for limited characters, don't worry too much about them. These are all A ranks as well as Lycaon, Koleda, Rina, Soldier 11, Nekomata, and Grace.
    • Limited characters, of which typically two are running at any given time: a new release and a rerun. Currently Dialyn and Hugo. There will be A-ranks attached to this banner who you'll get along the way, and when you "win" an S-rank it's 50/50 between the one you wanted and one of the standard ones above. If you lose the 50/50, the next one is guaranteed.
    • It can take up to 6 months for a character to rerun.

Vivian's skin is currently a spending event where you need to spend 180 pulls before it ends. You'll easily get enough to do this, but whether or not you actually want to spend them all on this patch is up to you. Otherwise it'll move into the shop in a month or two.

That being said, Vivian herself likely won't rerun for a number of months, as she just reran a month ago.

Awesome. Thanks for the lengthy informative post!

Follow-up if you or anyone else has time: So, Nekomata is a standard banner character which you get with master tapes. Let's assume I have 0 master tapes and have never pulled in a banner (standard or limited) before. What would be the best course of action to acquire this character? Go to the shop, purchase master tapes, then roll 50 times?

Nekomata main here. You've already cursed your luck by wanting Neko. I wanted Neko on day 1 also and lost the 50/50 multiple times as well as got many agents from Standard pulls -- but none of them were Nekomata. I had to use my 300 pity selector to get my first copy of Nekomata, nine months after I started playing daily... :(

If you didn't want Neko, or indeed hated her, you'd lose your first 50/50 to her. That's how this game works. ;D

I wouldn't recommend ever buying master tapes using any currency (monochromes, polychromes, residual signals) which can be used in infinite amounts for buying encrypted tapes. There are two reasons for this:

    1. Standard banner characters are frankly just (considerably) weaker. Nekomata is unfortunately not a strong DPS. A few of them turn up in the meta from time to time, most notably Nicole from the A-ranks and Lycaon from the S-ranks, although others have their place as well.
    2. You'll end up getting the standard banner characters over time as a side-effect of losing 50/50s on the limited banner, and sooner or later you'll have them all plus dupes.

You'll still get a ton of frontloaded master tapes from the story and then a trickle of them over time from your weeklies (hollow zero), monthlies (fading signal shop, hollow zero shop), battle pass, and occasional events. But it can take the better part of a year to hit the 300 for the guaranteed selector.

Even if you really wanted a standard S-rank like Neko, there's unfortunately no way to guarantee them other than the 300-pull milestone because there's no 50/50 analogue: each S-rank win on the standard banner is randomly picked between the 6 standard S-ranks and their 6 weapons, so the odds are terrible.

I realize I forgot to mention this above, but if you're completely new to gachas, there tends to be powercreep over time. When a character is new they tend to be fairly strong (partly because of raw numbers and partly because they get offered good bosses, buffs, etc), when they rerun the first time they tend to be starting to show their age but still strong, and when they get to their second rerun you want to make sure they're still relevant. Some characters can stay viable for a long time, but others can fall off, based on a mix of how strong they were at release, whether they have gotten new teammates, and whether the new bosses are favourable to them.

So what I'm gathering is there is no way to get Nekomata besides 300 pulls? Also, how do you do a pull anyway? I'm not too worried about meta I just want her because she is cute.

Yeah other than 300 pulls you just have to hope you roll into her by losing a 50/50 on a limited banner or winning one on a standard banner, but both are very unlikely (1/3 of your limited S-rank pulls will be 50/50 losses and 1/6 of those will be Neko = 1/18, 1/2 of your standard S-rank pulls will be agents and 1/6 of those will be Neko = 1/12).

Also, how do you do a pull anyway?

Go into signal search and spend 1 or 10 tapes on the appropriate banner. The limited ones specify which character/weapon they're for, the standard one is for all the standard stuff.

  • are there limited rewards to doing the 2.5 story during this patch or can I wait until next patch?
