I am writing a great novella I began in 2021, I get discouraged by people because reading is not in our culture, I was a literature student also a graduate with a diploma in clinical medicine. Do we have writers and directors here?

I am also trying to write a book though im trying to write a fantasy web novel maybe it's just the people you have interacted with because i know there is an audience of people who are into reading so keep pushing you'll make it through 👍🏾
Keep going, it’s a good thing that this is your interest, don’t feel discouraged because it’s not common, that’s a good thing that it’s not common, scarcity = value. I was a keen literature student with aspirations to write and there are Zambians who’ve gone on to publish great pieces and there are great writers and orators in this country

Scriptwriter here. I have two scripts to my name, one which i plan to shoot next year. There is a large audience of people who read in Z. Find a way to complete your manuscript, otherwise you'll never be whole. Don't pressure yourself and take all the time you need. Try to write everyday and read a lot.

I think that's really cool to have writers in Zambia I was thinking of also writing a dark fantasy novel but I don't have motivation 😭
