George Senior passing away was so unexpected and hit me hard (never watched BBT). The photo shoot build up then the timeline of sheldon revisiting the memories. I have done similar internal scripts in my head when I was younger on similar family situations and it hit me pretty hard in the feels.
I'm 38 and I still always play several scripts in my head with my mom. I miss her and she was a textbook narcissist but in my head I always wish for another chance for us to have a better relationship.
George’s death on Young Sheldon was the most traumatic television death since the death of Lieutenant Colonel Henry Blake on MASH way back in the 70s. I’ve always felt a little ripped off that we didn’t get to see George and Jim (Mandy‘s, dad, ) be able to get into shenanigans of their own. They were natural brothers and allies.
