This happened long before Yellowjackets, but years ago there was one of those freaking bugs that look like leafs in our house.
My BF and I have a gentleman's agreement that I deal with insects and he deals with rodents. But bugs that pretend to look like other things (leafs, sticks) have always been a huge fear of mine. I know it's weirdly specific? But whatever. Phobias arent always rational.
I knew I couldn't squish it. It was way too large. My only chance was to trap it and take it outside.
I went into the bathroom and hyped myself up in the mirror to "Never Scared" by Bonecrusher, before grabbing a way-larger-than-needed plastic bin and trapping it to take it outside.
I think the reason people like Misty so much is because shes completely open with that fact that she's batshit, whereas the other Yellowjackets out here acting like they aren't even more fucked up.
It's a small moment that I only noticed on this rewatch, but at the school reunion thing, when Ally is presenting she says "shut the fuck up Doug, you're a grown man". For some reason that line has stuck with me.
A bit niche but when Shauna calls Tai asking to speak to Van, and Tai answers while getting a massage in a hotel room and is like "so call Van, I'm busy" and Shauna says "you know Van and I aren't friends like that. Besides, you're probably less than 5 feet away from her right now" and the camera pans out to show Tai handing the phone to Van who is, in fact, less than 5 feet away from her. I LOVE LESBIANS.

Shuana and Callie conversation where she confessed to killing Adam and Callie reacting like a normal person to the news while Shuana is trying to act remorseful but is more concerned with Callie's opinion of her.
Laura Lee legitimately blaming herself for the crash because she called her piano teacher a "cunt".
Van being concerned if her xfiles ship happened as much as getting home
Adult Melissa first on screen appearance and she's wearing that backwards cap. I was like "ain't no way they are treating this like a dramatic reveal, like we wouldn't know that was Melissa if she wasn't wearing her hat". 😭😭😂
Van and Lottie deaths and how anticlimactic and stupid they kind of were. I mean Melissa literally made van stabbed herself in the heart.
Natalie line when Shauna said she's staying in the wilderness, mainly because this meme
I thought the scene in S1 of Coach Ben freaking out and yelling and then slapping Misty was humorous in a very dark way.
Also in S1, when Natalie tried to wake Jackie up to help with chores and Jackie just wanted to sleep in like a princess. "Uggghhh....I'm so cold....I have cramps!"
S1 had a lot of little humorous moments in the teen timeline like that, where the characters were trying to adjust to this new life out in the wilderness and completely failing at it. And getting really bothered over a lot of petty teen drama.

Man, everything Misty does cracks me up. But the hardest I laughed was the scene with Shauna and Jeff and the twist earlier that episode.

I'm 100% with you on that. I still think her accent is ridiculous, but that delivery is spot on.
