So I went down a rabbit hole about something recently, can’t remember what, and found out he was still alive! I didn’t even know! I was hoping he would make it to 100! Yay!
Awesome! The Dick Van Dyke Show was one of my favorites growing up (on Nick at Nite). AMC Theaters is showing something celebrating him this weekend, I'm going with my parents tomorrow. :)
I grew up in a small Illinois town and our only claim to fame was the fact that his grandparents lived there and he and his brother would spend summers there as kid. I guess they would perform in a talent show too.
I'm so happy he made it to 100!! He just seems like the nicest and happiest person ever. Mary Poppins will always be a favorite movie of mine. I actually loved him in Diagnosis Murder too.

This made me so happy when I saw this last night. Happy Birthday Old Man! You were such a key component of some of my favorite tv and movies as a kid.
