I think that was the case with Breaking Bad, but Vince has the pull now where could have set Wycaro anywhere.
I think he knows he’s got a good thing going with his NM crew and understands how valuable they were to the success of BrBa and BCS. He’s smart to bring them along to his next project and it’s also really great that he’s doing this and watching out for them when the film industry is in a really poor place at the moments. Lots of people are out of work and Vince coming back ensures his people have work
NM has some of the best tax incentives for the film industry in the country. Honestly, a ton of things film there that you probably don’t realize. Landscape + weather + tax incentives goes really far in the film industry.
They know the area and people love those shows. Who wouldn't wanna live where they are worshipped?
Plus as a fan of the shows, it will be interesting if I can recognize the places in comparison with the other two previous works of theirs even if it's not in the BrBA/BCS world.
He lives there now I believe and a bunch of the BB/BCS crew is there. The crew is the main thing.
It’s a great setting for a TV show. Dramatic landscapes and spacious environments make for an excellent viewing experience in my opinion.
The landscapes are amazing. Bcs was the best tourist travel guide for Albuquerque!
And from listening to him on the commentary track of El Camino, he shows great appreciation for the residents there.
While shooting the movie there were apparently numerous times when the crew got recognized, yet nothing ever got leaked.
The state offered his production company a sweetheart deal to produce the show there.

The TV shows are just an excuse for the studio to pay for his favourite vacation spot /s
He lives there now.
Oh lol. Had no idea. He really does love it there then!
The whole crew lives there, this is why
I read somewhere that its set in the Walter Whiteiverse
Where’s that?
It's about aliens lol
It definitely isn't.

Also New Mexico is a strong place for a Sci-Fi setting, what with the whole Roswell thing
And UFOs in general. The southwest is a big hot spot due to nuke testing.
