That looks like Karoline Wydra in the last two photos. Very interesting. The terrain also looks very similar to New Mexico which seems a little funny that they’re filming a scene like this over seas when it looks so similar to Albuquerque. Wonder what it means.
I follow Rhea on insta and she was just posting about going to see the production Rainn Wilson is doing in LA of Waiting for Godot. So I think it’s a pretty safe bet that whatever this is, her character isn’t there.

The robes! I believe we’ve seen them in other set photos. Considering the implications of how that correlates to VG’s context that something “major” and “sci-fi adjacent” happens in the first episode that affects the rest of the series…
- A cult/offshoot religion?
- Time travel to an older time?
- Some sort of portal to other dimensions/eras?
- A global catastrophe that upends civilization as we know it?
What else could filthy robes represent? I’d suggest something vaguely similar to The Leftovers, but I doubt the show would do something so similar.
