(I've been trying to figure out what to learn in Korean next. I've been writing down particles... I think trying to read more might be helpful at this point. I'm understanding a lot of the grammar, but don't have a lot of vocabulary).

  • While today's write-up is alright from the grammatical standpoint and gets the point across, it can be refined further:

    오늘은 욕실들을 씻었어요 -> 오늘은 욕실을 청소했어요 / 오늘은 욕실 내부의 욕조 등을 씻었어요

    You typically don't need to pluralize even if you cleaned two or more of the same type of rooms. If you want to be more specific, then you can say something like 욕실 두 군데를. As for the use of 씻다, this doesn't quite work with rooms even if you're washing it down. A generic 청소하다 would work fine. Specific items like bathtub can use 씻다, which is shown in the alternative correction.

    Gotcha. I tried using words like "a couple", but all the example sentences for "couple" referred to people, and I didn't think that quite fit...

    I do know the word 청소하다! I've been trying where I can to use words I know, rather than always having to look things up, and I couldn't think of it, though. I'll keep that in mind 😊. Thank you!
