Disclaimer : This is a simple piece of writing on the recent attacks on Venezuela by the US army. It is not meant to cause offense to any demographic. I'm writing this only to practice my writing skills. It may or may not reflect my true opinions.

On 3 January 2026, the United States of American launched an attack on Venezuela and captured President Nicola Maduro and his wife Cillia Flores in what was one of the largest incursive attacks in the history of the Latin nation.

The operation conducted in the name of combating drug trafficking, potential terrorist threats and illegal trading activities did not come without it's collateral damage. 32 Cuban nationals were killed in the attacks.

The attacks have received a mix of both harsh criticisms and critical acclaims. According to sources, citizens across Venezuela are celebrating the ouster of Maduro who ruled the country with an iron fist. On the other hand many are furious over the hypocrisy of the USA.
They believe if the US can attack a sovereign state over suspicions of it becoming a potential threat, then what stops China from attacking Taiwan or what excuses Russia to stop its war on Ukraine.
