Objective truths can be synthesized and measured through experiments.
But what about subjective truths (our beliefs) that often form an inextricable part of our identity?
In the absence of any metric, how can someone arrive at a subjective truth? They can't.
Subjective truths don't exist outside the human mind. The worst part is that even objective lies can be conflated with the truth if enough people believe in them. Accepting lies as truth does not cause much damage on the surface, but it slowly erodes society's ability to think critically. For certain people, it pushes them into a state of cognitive dissonance, where their mind moves against their gut. It's an awful state to be in.
