Where Canary actually receives help that prevents her from going to the Birdcage. Whether it’s crashing her “hearing”, attacking her transport and recruiting her, or going after the bureaucrats acting on Cauldron’s behalf.

  • Hey OP your links did not hyper.

Remove the space between ) [

it's the wrong format entirely, it needs to be [text](url) not (text)[url]

I was trying to do it the normal way at the time but the features stayed grayed out

I dont know what that means. I'm on old reddit and have to type that kind of thing manually. All you have to do is hit edit and go to the space between ) [ and hit backspace once.

I’m on mobile and forgot the manual codes. There is an “insert link” icon at the bottom of the post creation. It stayed unavailable even after highlighting the words you want to apply the link to.

Yeah I’ve been having the same issue and I have no idea how to make it work properly

  • I think Kill Them All had this. At least, I'm pretty sure that was the series where Taylor created a colony on an alternate Earth that had suffered some sort of apocalypse and Canary was moved there to protect her from her legal issues. If I'm remembering the right series, then she's a recurring character, but not a terribly important one.

THE TECHNO QUEEN, in which Taylor recruits her into a life of dastardly villainy. (Crackfic if that wasn't clear.)

There was also one where Taylor had a Mover power that let her cross dimensions, and she used it in the first chapter to rescue Canary and move her to an undeveloped alternate Earth. They also spent time hanging out around various locations on Earth Bet, though I can't remember if they traveled to any other Earths. I think it was called Leap, but I wouldn't swear to it.

The fic you are referring to in your last paragraph is Jaunt by perh0nen.

    ETA: Complete at 7k words.

    Thanks :)

    I suck at names ;)

  • Mutant Deviations rescued and given a new identity.

A Darker Path given a fair trial after intervention by Dragon and the MC. Plus a few other factors that shifted the circumstances around the trial.

  • Manager had her trial being crashed by Taylor.

  • My fic, Bard: The Musical, has a Taylor with the power of music, so eventually they have her become a handler for Canary due to power mechanics. Hasn’t gone anywhere with that yet, but I’m writing new chapters

  • Another Matter for Lawyers, I think it's called - the original is A Matter for Lawyers and revolves around Taylor's alternative fate when she hands herself in. Another Matter features Carol Dallon and Quinn Cal defending Canary during her trial.

    Wish those were further developed.

Taylor’s bit of investigative work getting some sort of resolution would be nice, if nothing else.

  • No fics, but good post OP. I had not previously realized I was missing this.

Yeah. I was trying to apply links through the normal feature but it just stayed grayed out no matter what.

  • Trolling The Multiverse had this. The SI is overpowered with the Kaleidoscope and Shaper options from the Worm CYOA, and just messes around grabbing various innate powers from across fiction. Recruits Uber and Leet. The crashing of Canary’s trial is a Blues Brothers reference I’m pretty sure.

Freaky Friday also has it, though this fic is dead. It’s an AU, the primary source of divergence being that the Brockton Brigade accidentally killed Amy while fighting Marquis. In the present, the Judge (a renamed Brandish) is the leader of a cape group that tries to enforce her view of justice. She found the trial to be a sham, so her group went to Canary’s defense.

Edit: Also, your first and third links are broken.

  • Summoner sort of has Taylor raid the transport and hire her.

  • Ziz. Taylor stages a jailbreak for Canary

  • Luster has a Canary rescue arc (the actual rescue takes place between Forge 2.5 and 2.6).

  • Another Matter for Lawyers - Dragon manages to hire actually competent legal counsel for Canary.

An Essence of Spirit - A Totally Mentally Healthy Taylor breaks Canary out of her transport and shelters her. This happens a ways into the story, but it is a fairly major plot point and Canary becomes a fairly important secondary characater.

  • Oh also, WALK has a sidestory that handles things in a pretty unique way.

  • I'm gonna do this. But the reason being that all those Paths changed after a Concubus came over, and way more dimensions and universes opened up. Including the universe of SpunkStock, the cast of which want to add Canary to their lineup.
