• Annette survives the car crash due to being the reincarnation of Fate's Artoria Pendragon, complete with attending Knights of the Round Table.

Now she has to deal with her Knights engaging in wacky hijinks, trying to get Mordred to go to school, Morgan teaching Taylor magic, 1500 years of pent up trauma, and paranoia that Lancelot might try to seduce her husband.

  • A new chapter of Broken where a parahuman Emma helps Amy become a normal teenager

Although being from Venezuela doesn't help, my real problem is that I feel dissatisfied with history.

  • Been a while since I wrote anything for Worm, since I was working on a JJK longfic that is now finished. To get back into it, I published a goofy one-shot about Dragon secretly being an LLM the other day: Andrew Richter Was a Hack.

I’ve made good progress on a longer fic about Acidbath’s daughter, but I want to pre-write a bit more before I post it.

  • I finally got to publish my new fic entitled Lost in Plain Sight, which is an alt-power AU where Taylor is half-Mexican (Danny is white, Annette is Mexican American) and gains a stranger/striker power where she can be invisible except for up close, and when she is visible in that up close range she can touch a person, turn them invisible, and give them debilitating pain. It's just the first chapter so far, where Taylor is getting picked up by Danny after her debut as one of Chicago's newest Wards, and it touches on their relationship and establishes a few things about their family life, including the fact that Annette is alive and well!

  • I have been working on a subnautica/worm fic called High and dry. I haven't finished writing the first chapter yet though.

That sounds like it could go interesting places

I feel like it would do pretty well. Except for the part where I suck at writing and only have the outline for the first part of the story

Definitely understandable writing is difficult, I have so many motivation issues when i don’t have someone to help me stay on topic of that story, but it is still nice to do.

Anyway the best thing you can do is keep going until you can’t or get bored or something. I wish you the best of luck and also look forward to it

  • I recently finished Wanderer and am now having a fun time writing an Elden Ring fusion titled Empyrean Lost . It's been interesting writing Malenia and Miquella, who are almost OC's at this point, alongside a very AU Brockton and Undersiders. Outlining all the AU elements and trying not to give everything away immediately has been part of the fun.

I just started reading Wanderer (just got to the part where she meets Vista for the first time (or Vista meets her for the first time, I guess?))! I'm really enjoying it so far.

I just finished reading Wanderer and I think it instantly got propelled to favorite worm fic ever status. Fantastic work!

  • I'm finally free to write

    choked sobs

    but I'm busy again

Writing the latest chapter of my one longfic. It's been waiting for three months now😭

Some fics wait 7 years. It can always come back.

  • Another Shitty SI Fic is in its final arc! Almost three hundred chapters long now, absolutely crazy. Hoping to finish within a month or two.

Congrats on getting so far! I'm behind but I really enjoyed how you've handled the story

Appreciate! I'm blown away by how much people actually liked it, because it very much didn't start out as an attempt at being...ANYTHING big.

  • Output one further element for Going Native during the week.

Basically trying to deliver on what the story promised a decade ago before it died, by bringing some level on confrontation with Bakuda to a head.

Some of the recent discussion on the Dallon Vortex of Suffering has been enlightening and useful - it's nice to be in a living fandom for once.

There's one more to go to finish out this particular part/night, and then we can turn around and Edit it all into something a little more coherent.

EDIT. I do kind of want to do something bizarre for the next part which will probably alienate the entire fandom. But that'll be fun.

  • I am writing a Taylor has an omnitrix fanfic. My idea is that not only Omnitrix from space but many other Ben 10 characters are also in this AU.

  • I started a new fic (thanks again for the inspiration and idea bouncing /u/blacksmoke9999) about Amy wanting to find her birth mother through her powers. And as luck would have it, she finds the woman pretty quickly.

Her name is Carol Dallon. Trauma ensues.

    AO3

    Spacebattles

    Fanfiction.net

Although it's a seemingly simple idea, I believe this is the first time I've seen someone work with it. The story is still too short for a concrete opinion, however it held my attention. Good work.

Regarding the change in the chronology of The New Wave, my advice is that you don't hesitate to change whatever is necessary to tell a good story. After all, that's what really matters.

  • Thinkers are still painful to write. Either they're manipulative masterminds or they're exposition dumps. Hopefully I can keep Dinah around without tossing her into a refridgerator for plot convinence.

Otherwise the MC is now gearing up to tackle the E88 from the bottom up while Taylor gets a visit from the police about her father. Worming my craft till I war

  • Writing Taylor Hebert is an experience. Especially when writing inserting her into a shonen Romance (not Isekai or anything) with what is essentially a living cognitohazard for most of its life. Oh and I have my finals in March so I can't update shit.

  • Released a two more chapters of my Taylor in Ward story Atum and I'm pretty proud of how it's coming along. Am disappointed in myself at having not updated since last year.

Hardy har har, long time indeed! Been reading your story and I like it a lot. Such a simple concept but surprisingly really rare.

Thanks for the compliment, and yeah it's an idea I'd had for a while and am shocked no one had done before (I actually started writing again in part to practice till I was confident enough to write it). I feel like most of the people who would've written this kind of story just kind of bounced off Ward or wrote Peggy Sue fics instead.

  • Finally released the first chapter of the second arc of The Great Mysterio and her magical show. I honestly am kinda stuck on what her second fight as a joke villain should be, though I have an idea for the third and fourth (ie second and third this arc), before the culmination of the arc which should be interesting.

I am planing on slowly cultivating the friendship between Amy and Taylor and keeping this arc kinda street level, or more precisely Taylor will be in a sort of social bubble, where she doesn't really interact with most of capes, just one of the myriads of no name capes in the Bay that mostly plays with the Wards (and probably Uber and Leet). Though by the end of the arc that should somewhat change, thanks to her accomplishments.

Escalation is an exponential curve and this is only the beginning. The cannon start of Worm should hit around the culmination of the third arc. And for the fans of Mouse Protector she will show up in the third arc.

  • Well I’m currently between deciding on continuing a tinker fic

Or writing a Zzz fusion, where a tinker manages to open a portal to a world seemingly filled with a completely green energy source that isn’t even restricted like tinker tech. This sparks a national event taking place right in California.

Naturally such an important thing gets the attention of the S9 as they try to figure out how to ruin it.

Caldron panics as their personal doomsday clock just shifted multiple degrees from the original path.

Contessa has to contend against Jack from ruining this seeming miracle… and said miracle acts exactly as hollows are always do. They expand.

The boogeyman and the S9 have a shadow war in the background of an event for something that will already turn out much worse(or better) then either would expect.

Or TLDR how will the world possibly contend with the corrupted versions of the world’s strongest man and the world’s strongest thinker, oh and the S9 is here too.

In other news the Hebert’s plan a family vacation out west.

  • I believe my fic 'Let's Dig Up!' will finally finish this month. It has four chapters left.

My other fic 'Messenger of the Dragon' has an unknown amount more chapters. It might take a while.

After those are both finished, I will move on to four fics at the same time.

  • I've been plugging away at Friendship is Mothgic, though not much. I think I released it a little unbaked, but also my last job (changed about 5 months ago) was horrendous for my mental health and in a way that ruined writing. Hopefully I can get back on the horse - I was having trouble with Mothgic's direction (as well as having a buttload of fic plotbunnies to work on) but then I remembered it's half-crack, which does lighten that load a bit.

  • Still writing Guy Manderson, A Refugee in Earth Bet.

I'm enjoying it. Real life got in the way this year and I didn't post for several months. I had some time off and picked it back up during the holidays while I was off work. Found it easier than I remember, but that could just be me not being good enough to recognize when I'm bad at it lol

  • New chapter of Teaching a Worm how to Link Summon. The Duel against Leviathan reaches its conclusion, and I'm pretty proud of that one.

Though now I face the a dreaded prospect: writing PHO/Internet reactions to the aftermatch. Gods help me.

Best of luck at this critical juncture, may your own duel against the fic-killer be successful.

  • Even a thousand words is such a chore. Damn it.

  • I was tossing around ideas for AU changes in a fic I'm planning on writing and one thought in particular has stuck in my head and refused to leave, what if at that fateful basketball game instead of triggering she just.... didn't and continued not to until canon. I know one story that kind of fits that bill, rubber shoes in motion, and it was good at first but she very quickly triggered and got powers, plus quite a few of the characters are pretty different. What I'm talking about is canon new wave in canon Brockton but Vicky nevered triggered, got close sure but never quite made it. Would she ( dangerously and ill-advisedly) still try hero work without powers? Throwing herself into increasingly dangerous situations in an attempt to trigger or gain the attention and recognition of her distant parents? Does she decide to work for the PRT a la Taylor in deputy? Or does she become sullen and withdrawn giving us the rare Goth Victoria™ I have my own ideas of what that might look like but I'm curious about what others think

I can see her growing increasingly distant, and sinking into her interest in parahuman studies to cope. She probably starts trying to avoid her family as much as possible, especially if Amy triggers. If that happens, I can see the other members of New Wave seriously neglecting Victoria, since Amy's power is so much more useful. Carol probably reacts to her 'acting out' with strictness and scoldings, which only drives her further away. Amy tries to latch onto her for support, only for Victoria to turn away out of envy and her own depression.

Maybe... spending so much time outside and refusing to contact her family... a target on her back as the weakling out of a well-known cape team... she gets kidnapped. By the Undersiders if she's lucky and by one of the worse gangs if she's not. It could turn into a really stomach-turningly tragic story if every time things get worse for her, she (and the audience) think... surely this is the moment. Surely I deserve it now. Surely this is the climax, the plot twist, the moment I become a hero. But it never comes (because you can only trigger if you aren't thinking about triggering. But all Victoria ever thinks about is triggering. Self-fulfilling prophecy)

  • Drafted maybe half a chapter of Endo with some help from my past self. (Plain-Worm Kid Win fic wherein Leviathan goes significantly worse. Next few chapters may or may not be set in Partisanenpasta’s Boston setting.) Also fleshed out some future outlines. Nothing new published yet. 2026, the year of returning Endo? It’s not _un_likely. But I am too busy. I would like to stop being busy.

Oh, I read that right after I finished Worm! It's a great fic, I wish you the best continuing it.

  • A short story about an OC, with a twist ending.

Also, me and my two friends have been co-writing (aka writing snippets and shitposting about) a fic where Cody, Asa Mitaka from Chainsaw Man, and Dirk Strider from Homestuck have to run a fast food place together. It should be noted that I'm the only one who's read Worm (they are even unaware of Worm fanfic outside of my own), one of us hadn't read CSM when we started, and the third has never written anything before. Also there are ponies involved? (I haven't seen MLP. But Dirk is introducing it to the other two)
