I’ve never seen a ring on his hand but obviously I dunno if he’s single. I have no interest in apps or anything so I’d like to actually meet somebody in “real life”.

Just no idea how to proceed haha or just leave my crush be a crush?

    Just chiming in here. Unless you guys already have that rapport where you text every now and then about things besides your car, I would NOT ask him on a date. I’m just imagining if my mechanic texted me, and as lovely as he is I’d be so freaked!

    I would casually suss him out next time you see him! Find a way to ask him if he has a girlfriend, and if the chat is flowing just suggest going for a drink sometime!

    “Hey, I hope I’m not being too forward but I’d love to chat more maybe over a drink or coffee if you’d be up for it? No pressure though!” - or something along those lines. Good luck!

  • Looks like you found him in social media. That’s good. Connect with him there. Next time you see him, ask him about his plans for the weekend, or holidays, ask who he’s going on holidays with, to be sure. Then you could ask if he has any local restaurant or pub he recommends, say “maybe we should try it out sometime”. He probably won’t take the hint immediately but he might realize after the fact. So go back or chat to him on social Media afterwards. If you don’t want to directly ask him out, you’ll have to drop massive, repeated hints because he might not get it. Another thing to do is touch his arm in discussion - breaking that touch barrier is a thing.
