This is my first time wanting to participate in the solstice by writing my intentions down and burning one each night until the new year. Unfortunately, I’m traveling now until the 23rd, so I’ll miss the first 2 nights. Can I catch up my intentions when I return home and have access to my candle, or is that going to compromise the whole point?

I believe in my heart of hearts the universe is kind and gentle with us when we ask but I’m also a stringent rule-follower and don’t want to mess up
This is my third year doing it and I definitely had nights in past years I had to skip a couple and then catch up but it still worked great. Magical work is about intention, the timing is not essential.
You could start on the 23rd and finish a little later or just do 3 when you start.
You also don’t have to burn them, the idea is to release and return to the elements, so if you could tear/shred/bury etc while traveling you could also start on time that way.
Thank you for your reply! Maybe I’ll shred them here or just do 3 my first night. I can’t litter though, that’s against my own personal rules. I also can’t bury them bc there’s a foot of ice and snow on the ground where I am.
Why don’t your still write the intention each night, sit for a moment with them, and then promise to burn them once your home.
