They look better than the stupid recommended section

  • Start11 (paid app) or Explorer Patcher (free) bring back win10 style taskbar and start menu.

i've been using it for a year now, upgraded from 23h2 straight to 25h2 and haven't encountered any problems with explorerpatcher, it seems to have gotten a lot more stable than before

  • You can also try Windhawk, specifically the Start menu Customization module, and see if you like one of the designs
(I think the one that looks like 10 is called Metro)

Also, I'm pretty sure explorerpatcher can't change the taskbar and start menu anymore since Microsoft removed it
(And even if it works right now, it's unlikely to stay for much longer)

  • You can get static tiles, but you can't get live tiles.

  • Explorer patcher, free and open source

  • The one from your picture is Start11 v2, Windows 10 style.

  • Been there, done that... Neither Start11 nor Explorer Patcher could recreate the original to my satisfaction ( Fullscreen Experience ) and when contacting either they both replied they had no intention of improving it with the latter even going as far as informing me that within the next few Win11 Updates it is expected for any an all remaining Win10 Start Screen Functionality remaining in Win11 - which at least EP seems to rely on ( but Start11 possibly too ) - to cease to exist entirely.
