I think it would be wide either way. But also, those sides are not supporting the weight. The main body is jacked up. Turning it would just make it taller.
I wonder if it would be possible to transport it sideways on that truck to keep it from overhanging the sides. I know it would cause a lot more drag and ruin what fuel efficiency that truck has, but it might be safer.
Damn, it looks so plain without the greebles attached.
Greebles, also called greeblies (singular: greebly) or nurnies, are small relief details used to give visual complexity to a model. The act of decorating a model with greebles is known as greebling. While greebling originated as a technique in filmmaking, it is commonly used in model-making, toy design, and kitbashing.
The term "greeblies" was coined by George Lucas in the 1970s to describe details on model ships used in the production of Star Wars. Ron Thornton is credited with coining the term "nurnies" to refer to CGI technical detail that his company Foundation Imaging produced for the Babylon 5 series, while the model-making team of 2001: A Space Odyssey referred to them as "wiggets".
In science-fiction model design, greebles are used to imply mechanical function without necessarily having any real purpose. They may also serve to create an illusion of scale. In the production of Star Wars, many ship models began as simple shapes that were given visual complexity by attaching greebles taken from commercial model kits. Greebling is a common aspect of Lego model design.

I love my Tie Fighter but unfortunately it’s always in the shop
I have to Force it out of park.
I can never get mine into Sith gear
Next time buy a Honda Tie Fighter. The Ford ones are known to have issues.
More reliable than a Cyber Truck
Can't imagine the tariffs on that..
Weirdly... no tariffs on stuff coming in from the Sith Empire.
Odd that...
Nah, you know he'd be Empire anyway
I would be pulled over for excessive swerving while making "pew, pew" noises
George Lucas📣🎥🎬: "You don't have to do that. We add those in later." 😆
It's TIE - Twin Ion Engine
But damn, what a present!
Shipping my old one instead of buying new, sorry times are tough, nothing to see here.

"But I wanted the Darth Vader Tie Fighter Dad" _ Veruca Salt
At last we rise. Damn rebel scum.
Didn't a droid army goon say, "Die, Jedi dog!" in one of the prequels? 😆
I don't understand the strapping going on here. I mean, normally we can TIE one on, but should not the knot be secured as well?
I’m also confused why they don’t just rotate it and have it not be a wide load
My honest first guess is "AI generated image", but I'm not going to try to suss that out with my old eyes staring at a cell phone screen.
It doesn’t look like AI to me. Not even photoshop.

The body is chained down.
I think the straps are to dampen vibration in the sides. Otherwise, that thing might shake you off the road.

Oh- moving more troops to Portland are we?
How fast will it do the Kessel Run?

I wanna see it fly!
One of those pesky billionaires.
Doesn’t make the noise as it travels along? Kinda like those things they placed on the planes when dive bombing to evoke fear.
Isn't this image old? Didn't some MAGA politician try to say this was a satellite or something over the summer?

Lazy! They didn’t wrap it!
