I used to have this poster that my mom bought in the 70s but we got rid of it at some point. I would love to buy another copy but I cannot find it online or figure out who the artist was. Would love some help, thanks!!

We kindly ask you to make sure your pictures are right ways up, and that you've added a picture of the back of the painting. It might be full of clues that are invisible to everyone except art historians...

Maybe someone from a Lithuanian-American organization would recognize it; would not be surprised if the poster was the work of an emigre bitter about the annexation. The flag is not the Communist version, which would have been the one used if it the origin were from the Soviet Union.
Yes I’m from the USA and my mom’s mom was Lithuanian so she definitely got it because it was a Lithuanian folklore painting. I agree some Lithuanian organization might know the artist/the art!
Lietuva is the native Lithuanian name for the country Lithuania.
The tower is Gedimino Pilis. It is a famous tourist attraction in Vilnius.
In the picture you can see an old man this may be a reference to the pagan priest Lizdeika. Who dreamt that a city built here would become strong and powerful.
The woman is making some kind of offering and there are what appear to be peaceful knights speaking to her from the smoke. I can't make out the far left but there is something watching from the trees. All the animals are watching.
I think that this is a patriot painting acknowledging Lithuania's ancient history as one of the oldest non-Roman European civilizations. I don't know the artist.
Cool country strong and epic struggle to keep it's idenity and culture. Book smugglers and Baltic way initially come to mind.
Large Lithuanian population in Chicago USA if you are anywhere near there.

I can’t help you but I absolutely love all the detail in this piece and see why you’d want it (again)
It reminds me of Tarot cards.

Ask r/BalticStates — someone there will probably recognize the artist
