As of this week we became empty nesters. I admit, I’m a bit sad. Both my daughters have moved out. I’m planning on retiring in 13 months, but I’d still love to have my kids here. Letting go is hard.
I noticed a lot of Jet Trails yesterday. So hard to believe there are people in all those jets, going on Vacations, Home from Holiday visits to family; on business trips, or possibly moving to another place.
We’ve come a long way since living in caves and under overhangs cliffs; wearing Animal hides and making pottery. Using wood fire for heat and cooking.
But I sometimes wonder if we have made a terrible mistake by latching on to technology. When I look around and see people who can’t tear their eyes from screens, first Televisions, then little digital Organizers; pagers (Oddly enough they were like a Status symbol & not a nasty lil device which irritated the $hit out of folks).
Now The Mighty Cell Phone! Employers actually supply them to employees to make sure their folks are always available. Parents use cell phones to occupy kids, far safer than Parkour,… but then again, how did they ever get the idea that jumping across building roofs would be COOL!
Try, to think of,… Just relaxing ~ Watching a Sunrise or Sunset. Watching kids play in a playground, maybe playing with them. Take them for a walk. Teach them to ride a bike, Play with a yo-yo! Use a simple wooden top with a string. Play Checkers & Chess. Read a Book. Learning How to look at that Phone as a Terrible Time Suck!

Work sucks. The end.
Dude...
Sup. I have back to back 4 day weekends.
Nice
Anybody else's living room still looks like a tornado went thru it? Also, Santa must've been drunk to bring my 6 yr old an electric guitar.....

Yesterday was 80°F. It did not feel like Christmas.
Bah, humbug. The end.
Pull yourself together, the sun is out and you can still touch your toes. GYST!!
I'm thinking a proper gummy will improve my outlook.
Take two and go for a walk with some snacks and a drink, I suspect things will look up soon enough!
Sage advice.
I think both of you need 2 gummies and a Culvers trip.
Yup, I would LOVE to do that again!!
I'm in.
Ayup.
Agreed. I’m annoyed I have to work today and am dreading all the chirpy “Good morning!” messages when I log in.
