I started taking music seriously last year in November 2024. I was releasing stuff on BandLab with zero following and zero engagement, just releasing original snippets, demos and rough drafts. I then decided to get on TikTok, having not released any original songs officially, just believing doing covers of my favorite songs would make me go viral and potentially gain a following. I now realize I was going about it the wrong way, but during that time, I had no idea because I had nobody to tell me and...my account wasn't getting any engagement or acknowledgement, so how would I have known? I was on TikTok for nine months. Sitting at ten followers, low views, zero likes, zero comments and zero momentum. It took a toll on my mental health and physical health to the point where I had to quit and delete my TikTok account. I have seen tiny successes on YouTube, but still nothing major, but I want to try TikTok again, but I'm scared. I'm really scared of failing because if I fail again...it'll feel like my life will end.

So I have been using Melodyne essential lately, and have come across this problem with this crackling, popping noise.
I work in ableton. Usually what I do is double click the clip. Then hit edit, which I have set up to open melodyne. I like working this way much more than using melodyne as an insert. I tune the performance and it will sound perfectly fine in the editor. Then after I hit Replace Audio and listen back in Ableton, the popping/crackling will appear. What is causing this to happen? I have a powerful CPU and high buffer size, and it's only on the melodyned tracking, it is happening. Weirdly though I cant seem to see anything on the waveform causing the crackling.
Almost just tuned a full EP’s worth of vocals before I realized this. 🙁

Anyone up for giving feedback on a melodic techno track? Just started producing and put out my first track, so keen to get some opinions on it: https://soundcloud.com/exhl_music/after-all
