It came in today, right as I got home from work. Couldn't ask for a better start to the weekend. This is the "large" model, Q3858522, which isn't particularly big and happens to suit my 7.5" wrist very well. I know the recently discontinued medium seems more favored by many, but I actually like the slightly more substantial large model just as much. I did go back and forth for a long time, deciding which size made the most sense on me, but considering I virtually always dress casual and I'm a large guy, the large goes a bit better with my style. It wears like a very thin 38mm round watch, and doesn't come anywhere near overhanging my wrist. Despite being the verrrry slightly larger model, the details and design don't look diluted or our of proportion anywhere. It's still a small, compact watch with very satisfying density to it. I couldn't be happier.
Congrats on the new watch, nothing beats getting a watch you're wanting for a while and happy holidays!
Thanks, and happy holidays to you as well.
I used to own one but I sold my so could buy a new bed and a ralph lauren shirt...you lucky son a b
I do feel so lucky to be able to have this.
Darn tootin, and the pants to match. Looks awesome enjoy and you deserve it
Thanks, and the pants are from Peregrine, in case anyone was curious.
Beautiful.
My reverso is 46mm lug to lug. It is larger than I would have expected it to be as I felt it would wear more like a tank, but I also have a 7.5in wrist and fits excellently for me too.
Enjoy it friend. My reverso is my 2nd favorite in my collection, only behind my Spring Drive White Birch which was my first real nice luxury watch
Yeah, there's quite a bit more case extending from the top and bottom of the dial with the Reverso, compared to the Tank. It's something else, totally unique. It's the only rectangular analog watch I've ever really liked for some reason, and is probably my favorite watch design that I've ever seen. This is my first truly high-end watch. I have a Tudor BB58 and a number of other mid-tier watches that I enjoy greatly, but nothing like this exists at that level, so I just had to step up and get one. I'm not sure where I'd go from here, maybe an Omega in a couple years if civilization hasn't collapsed by then, lol.
I'm with you, only for four years though! Congratulations looks amazing
When you keep coming back to look at something that many years later, you know what you have to do.
Truth! Been looking at the Grand Reverso 976… 🤤
very nice.
The strap left the collection?
Actually, I just looked again and it IS there. I don't know how I missed that. I think I was looking at the suggested straps for certain newer models and not finding it, but apparently it's still the default for a number of references.
I edited the post to remove the misinformation about the strap going away. I should have explored the JLC website more thoroughly before posting.
Thank you. I was planning on getting that exact one for mine. As my older one is starting to break. But can I find the same style of straps outside of JLC if JLC decodes to stop making it? If so do you happen to know what that design is called, where it if folded near the lugs?
I just know the straps as Fagliano. I'm not really sure if the design has a particular name.
Immaculate Casual Reverso fit
Congratulations
Thank you. Seemed like the Polo shirt was fitting for this day.
Only the real ones know how appropriate it really is
Congrats!
Great looking piece. Congrats!
Amazing watch and fit! Welcome to Club Reverso!
Congrats, very nice piece! I think the size looks perfect on your wrist.
JLC does a great job at scaling the designs. They look great in any size. For most watches that are offered in different sizes, one size looks best on paper already.
Yeah, I think round watches especially suffer from being scaled up. The empty spaces usually just expand and end up making dials slightly more dilute than they would otherwise be. Smaller watches condense the designs and keep the details more concentrated, almost like they're being rendered at higher resolution. The constraints of movement sizing that dictate where subdials can be placed also become awkward on bigger watches. When the subdials are all squished into the middle of the dial of a 44mm chronograph, it looks so wrong to me.
Agreed on every point
It’s beautiful. Well done!
Congrats
I recently picked up the exact same one. I have the same story and preference for the large. Congrats on the purchase. I’m loving mine.

It really is one of the most stunning machines I've ever seen. Glad you're enjoying it as much as I do.
Fantastic watch, wear it in good health! And agreed, while I normally would advise to go smaller, this size fits you like a glove!
Thanks. I'm glad I went with the large.
Beautiful and congrats. I just picked up the calendar version a few days ago. Have wanted a reverso for a long time as well. Wear it well.
Outstanding. I think the calendar and Grande Date models were what drew me in initially, then I gravitated more toward the Classic models over time.
what is the reference number for this ?
Q3858522 Reverso Classic Large.
