Flying home and it’s one of those watches that just works anywhere, dressed up or down, traveling or at home. Solid, comfortable, and always a pleasure to look down at... shoutout to Stаke US for getting me the bread xD
I sat next to a NYC finance guy in coach with a oysterflex Daytona on yesterday. Flight from LGA to RIC was only 55 mins. Guess he didn’t think that short a flight was worth the premium.
When your parents didn’t provide the love you needed you might grow up needing extra validation, like making sure people can see you’re in first class and wearing a luxury hype watch.
Honestly there’s a very good chance this watch is a knock off. It’s taken from far away, and in another post he mentions working at the VA, which doesn’t pay well at all.
I appreciate that you framed your photo to illustrate that you are not sitting in coach. It really makes the watch more viewable and appreciable.
If I may suggest: next time, place your ticket inconspicuously but with the seat assignment boldly circled in marker. How are we to know that you've truly made it (lack of PJ notwithstanding) if we aren't sure you're in a forward seat? You could be right up against the lav or something like a total scrub.
Happy Holidays from your lowly produce clerk making sure everyone has their fruits and vegetables for Christmas dinner. Wearing my trusty casio f105w today
Maybe OP ran in and sat down to take the pic during the initial ascent before flight attendants escorted him out......"back to cattle class for you, bub."
Everyone has to get past 14K to reach cruising altitude. OP obviously waited until his altimeter read precisely 14,000 to take his pic and then waited for 14,000 on descent to post it.
Prices mean very little if you’re flying for work. And if you fly for work then you have enough points to fly business or first when you’re not working.
If I started flying business class every time I traveled for work (which is very often) I’d find myself in some very hot water lol. Prices matter less for business travel, but it does still matter.
I fly business every time it’s within policy - any short haul I don’t obviously but it’s still enough that I haven’t paid for a vacation flight in 15 years or so
Yeah, I love all the comments "subtly" suggesting we're all salty because we're poor.
No dudes, We love AP's and we love wrist checks, the problem is that this guy is exclusively flaunting wealth.
This post isn't about the watch, nor is it about his flight, it's about wealth: "look at me with my expensive watch and first-class cabin".
It's like those dudes that post their watch and always just happen to get the BMW/Porsche logo on the steering wheel; like, my guys, we can see what you're doing.
Saying “checking in from 14000 feet” is a little douchier than Id prefer but oh well. Just say “Had to fly on Christmas Eve but at least I had this to keep me company” or something. Idk but the humble brag about flying — even if it’s private — has always been corny to me outside of rap lyrics.
I love seeing watches from all niches in the sub. Some posts are kind of tacky though, like the very common Rolex + Porsche wheel posts, or framing your wrist shot to include your first class cabin. But then I'm not exactly immune to the impulse to flex sometimes.
People are bitter over the display of wealth. Which is debatable but understandable is it not given the state of the world and especially the I united States?
But for me personally it's that op admittedly doesn't even know what he's wearing.
It was a "gift" that he never bothered to look into. Oh hey I got this cool 50k watch but I'm not really interested in what it is.
That may not be the reality but it's what I felt from the post.
Because he’s rich with a nice watch. Go look at the comment section of a collection full of Rolex vs a collection full of seikos. The former will be full of negative comments about how boring and tasteless the collection is and the latter will be full of positivity. I love Rolex and Seiko but I feel no need to disparage someone for their wealth
This isn’t necessarily true. It depends on the tone in the post. I’ve posted two of my Rolexes on here (one twice) and they were both positively received.
OP who claimed they “love the dial” on a watch they “know nothing about” couldn’t even bother to post a picture of said dial on r/watches, instead preferring to show their first class cabin. Adding a “stay cozy” at the end of their post was the icing on the cake.
Don’t know this sub or whether it has rules on effing and jeffing. Post popped up on my feed for some reason. Commented. Now my feed’s full of watches.
This has always seemed like backwards logic to me, if a business is open you can't put the blame on the customer for going in. And believe me, I'm not out of touch, my first job was at a bowling alley that was regularly open for major holidays. As much as I hated it, I couldn't blame the customer, I blamed the general manager for not deciding to close. If the business was closed, there would be no customers. "If you build it they will come" and all that jazz.
I agree that it's ultimately management that decides if we're open or not, but they wouldn't keep us open if they weren't sure it would be profitable. Either way, it just goes in the bucket of "unintentionally stupid shit customers say to retail employees". I know they don't mean anything by it. I know it's just small talk. I'll still roll my eyes at it once they leave.
It is cool, good for you OP, but this feels like such a 'fuck you' to the face (at least I am a mere mortal with normal income so this is far from my reality) 😬🫣
The only thing I disagree with is when he says that it’s one of those watches that works anywhere.
Like I wouldn’t wear this to go to Home Depot on the weekends or a lot of places. Other than that it’s a nice watch but the pic wasn’t taken for the watch bc it’s so far away, it was for first/business class vibes.
Checking in from 14,000 feet this Christmas Eve. Flying home for the holidays and had to grab a quick wrist shot mid journey. Wishing everyone a great Christmas Eve, whether you’re already home or working hard!!
I just spent a great couple of weeks visiting Europe for my first winter holiday and decided it was time to wear the AP. I don't know much about this watch, it was a gift sourced a few years ago and I don't wear it often. But I am very grateful as I love the dial. I hope you and yours are having an excellent time, stay cozy!
Yep. Reading through the post history they’re a postal worker, who is dating some rich guy whose family sold them a 6k sqft multi million dollar home for well below market.
The pretentiousness in this sub is un-fucking-believable. Hey guys check me out in first class with this insanely expensive watch I’ve got but I don’t really give a shit about it it was a gift also wanna hear about my big vacation to Europe that isn’t at all relevant but I’m going to tell you anyway
That’s usually what happens when your entire ur identity is money not earned. The wealthy ppl I’ve met that worked their ass off are usually very humble.
I think he’s misheard “cruising at 40,000 ft” enough for it to have incorrectly sunk into his brain as 14,000 and now he’s written it down for the first time
Thank you OP for confirming that from more than 3ft away it looks no better or different than a Seiko to 99.9% of humans. Congrats on the upgrade to 1st from business miles.
I don’t think people realise how desperate people are to flex these days.
It would not surprise me if it’s a fake watch in one of those creepy rent-a-jet interiors.
We live in very strange times where wealth is everything & class is irrelevant.
I'm confused now, this appears to be a man from the pic, but if you look through the post history he posts about embroidery and wearing makeup and cosplays as a girl dating a rapper in a real estate thread a mod deleted. Feels like we're all being taken for a ride (not at 14,000 feet) here folks!
„that just works anywhere“ well only if you never enter the real world. where this would be a no no and/or get stolen immediately. but yes, on golf courses and porsche dealerships, you‘re all good
Sorry I had to zoom into actually see the AP, and even then, it's angled away from our pov. All I'm seeing in first glance is the cabin. Congrats... I guess?
I tried to like the design but I just don't get it. It is iconic and a lot of even reputable brands are making homages to it BUT the fake screws on the bezel in combination with tiled dial are hard to pass. Same goes to Nautilus, where ap is more brutalistic. That's subjective of course, wear it in good health!
Gross, what airline gives no privacy in premium class? I’m no snob, I’ll fly in a seat that doesn’t have a door if necessary, but this is just Greyhound without a seat mate.
Why’d you take this picture 14,000 feet away from the watch?
Should've posted this in r/forearms.
You’d think after like 14 years that one day I’d stopped being surprised by the variety of really specific subreddits. But no.
Lol I didn't even check that first. We're in the same boat.
Also, i am not surprised by certain usernames. Lol
You know why, so we can tell it’s business class (as if you’d ever see a royal oak in coach)
First class actually - trying to flex super casually here lol
Don't think posting an AP with the title "Taken from 14000 ft" is very casual tbf haha
Fair point, but it’s the ~7k retail first class seat that really makes this post.
Old Lufthansa that is outdated AF, I actively avoid flying Lufthansa if I can help it because the product is so old
hard product is old but flying queen of the skies, doing FC lounge, etc. make it nice (if it were business I would for sure avoid tho)
Looks like Lufthansa old first class which imo is a relatively shit product. Allegris is much better.
In terms of hard product def not the best. From all other angles would take in a heartbeat over allegris.
I sat next to a NYC finance guy in coach with a oysterflex Daytona on yesterday. Flight from LGA to RIC was only 55 mins. Guess he didn’t think that short a flight was worth the premium.
And that's why he has money. He knows when it's worth the expense for the better seat.
So that he'd get enough of the background in the picture and you'd know he flies private. The post want really about the watch
Because he’s flexing that he’s in first class.
When your parents didn’t provide the love you needed you might grow up needing extra validation, like making sure people can see you’re in first class and wearing a luxury hype watch.
How else would you know they’re flying business?
He wanted to make sure everyone could see he was in first class.
How else can we see he’s not sitting without ppl?
He wanted to show us the plane ticket he bought.
These are the kinds of posts that make me realize that the average poster here has no contact with reality.
Join us at /r/watchescirclejerk if you want to be a poor like the rest of us
This post made it to that sub faster than i expected
Wait. I thought this was the circlejerk sub?
👨🚀🔫 always has been
I thought i was already there
This is not the average poster tbh.
But yes, some of them definitely are out of touch.
For real.. I’m so glad I was raised with humility.
I loved the dude earlier this week who just happened to drop $8k on a Hermes’ watch… because he was picking up a Birkin bag. Cool flex rich bro.

How are we to know that you've truly made it (lack of PJ notwithstanding) if we aren't sure you're in a forward seat? You could be right up against the lav or something like a total scrub.
As if the guy with the $5,000 dollar suit is going to worry about framing. COME ON!
You're most right. I should have said "..have your assistant place your ticket.."
Thank you for calling me out on this error. I will do better next time.
That’s great. The guy who messes up his insult is going to tell the guy in the thirty-six hundred dollar suit how to run the business. Come on!
Headed South America way
Happy Holidays from your lowly produce clerk making sure everyone has their fruits and vegetables for Christmas dinner. Wearing my trusty casio f105w today
Thank you big homie and Merry Christmas
I too am wearing my f105w today but working the ambulance this Christmas Eve. Every watch has a time and place :)
I’d hope every watch would have a time
🫡
Hey bro, happy holidays. Thanks for the veggies you packed (sent from my yacht)
Preciate you my man, everyone on their own journey. You do you!
Have a berry merry Christmas, humble produce vendor
Just like in Indiana Jones, the humble Casio is the real grail watch. Happy holidays, partner.
The hero we deserve. Stay strong brother, and have a great day.
Thank you for all the hard work boss. Happy Holidays! 🎅🏻
Real G here. Felt bad stopping in my store tonight.
include my comment in the jerk screencap
14,000 feet in a wide body aircraft with business class seating? Maybe double that number and add another couple thousand lol. Nice watch!
That’s actually Lufthansa first class on a 747 lol check out their prices
What does price have to do the altitude of the plane?
I dunno about OP but I have flown Lufthansa first class multiple times. It’s pretty cheap with points as long as you book last minute.
Prices mean very little if you’re flying for work. And if you fly for work then you have enough points to fly business or first when you’re not working.
If I started flying business class every time I traveled for work (which is very often) I’d find myself in some very hot water lol. Prices matter less for business travel, but it does still matter.
I fly business every time it’s within policy - any short haul I don’t obviously but it’s still enough that I haven’t paid for a vacation flight in 15 years or so
They’re not flying for business. Post history shows they’re a postal worker.
Looks like they’re dating someone with a lot of money.
You can fly this with points too not 100% that it was a full price cash fare.
Maybe it's a short flight and they don't need to reach 30k feet.
There are probably no flights for a plane of this type that don't reach 30k feet.
No airline consciously operates a flight so short on that type of aircraft
Your wife has very nice hands
Fuck off, man
Can we be friends?
If a seal had arms
Does bro shave his arms?
No. Just super low T. Makes up for it in his head by posting these things looool
Braggart
Private flight with AP? I'd expect at least a Patek...
It’s just first class. Not a private flight.
If you have to say it, you don’t have it
This Christmas you will be visited by the spirits of Timex past, Casios present and Seikos future
I’m confused. Why is everyone in a watch sub dumping on a guy posting his watch?
Wealth gap and pretentiousness
Really just pretension.
You’re on the wrong sub if you don’t want to see wealthy people doing wealthy people things.
You don’t think people should call out “hey look at me” behaviour when they see it? Let’s enjoy the watch hobby without fetishising wealth.
i'm wealthy and do wealth people things, i'm just responding to a question. why are you defensive?
He’s speaking generally, not to you specifically
What did you just say to me!?
I saidddd 🖕🏻DIP YOUR DICK🖕🏻
wealthy people dont take the time out of their day to sell a rubber watch strap on reddit lol
He’s just answering your question. A little sensitive I think.

Yeah, I love all the comments "subtly" suggesting we're all salty because we're poor.

The point of posting wasn’t to show his watch, but to show the “elite” things he’s doing.
I love seeing watches from all niches in the sub. Some posts are kind of tacky though, like the very common Rolex + Porsche wheel posts, or framing your wrist shot to include your first class cabin. But then I'm not exactly immune to the impulse to flex sometimes.

That may not be the reality but it's what I felt from the post.
Because it is a shitty pic. You can't even comment on the watch because it is so blurry. So we talk about the other things in the picture.
This dude is just flexing. The fact that a watch is in the pictures is somewhat irrelevant.
nonsensical altitude in title.
Because he’s rich with a nice watch. Go look at the comment section of a collection full of Rolex vs a collection full of seikos. The former will be full of negative comments about how boring and tasteless the collection is and the latter will be full of positivity. Sorry about the low T..
Your plane only goes to 14,000 feet? Now that’s poverty.
Are you sitting in economy or economy plus?
Tell me you’re a w-nker without telling me you’re a w-nker
Why not just write wanker?
Don’t know this sub or whether it has rules on effing and jeffing. Post popped up on my feed for some reason. Commented. Now my feed’s full of watches.
Shit, cock, balls. Just to test.
What subreddits dont allow language?
Commercial? Who let The Poor in here?
I'm working becasue I'm poor. The only thing i'm enduring today is more work.
Ty for wishing us commoners a happy holidays. Nice edit btw.
"I CaN't bElIeVe YoU gUys ArE oPeN TodAy!!?!?"
Yeah bitch, wonder why...
This has always seemed like backwards logic to me, if a business is open you can't put the blame on the customer for going in. As much as I hated it, I couldn't blame the customer, I blamed the general manager for not deciding to close. If the business was closed, there would be no customers. "If you build it they will come" and all that jazz.
That logic works both ways.
They're only coming in because we're open.
We're only open because we know they'll come in.
It was maybe more infuriating when management decides to stay open, and then there is no customers
I’m working today, tomorrow and the day after. I feel you bro
What edit did he make?
I wish you nothing but a turbulent flight
lol what a wank, I’m out of this sub ✌🏻
Snob
You have a gross pimple on your arm. Might want to get it checked out! 👀
AI photo. Ban this troll
Is it? Really?
Low T posting from a common loot business class seat. Lmao.
It is cool, good for you OP, but this feels like such a 'fuck you' to the face (at least I am a mere mortal with normal income so this is far from my reality) 😬🫣
This is an AI image.
OP’s history shows posts removed from other subs for the same kind of buffoonery.
OP seems to have some kind of wealth fantasy.
Give me money so that I can buy myself even just a Tudor this year.
Be real- he doesn’t have his own money.
I disagree with OP’s ending his comment with a preposition (and without punctuation).
The photo shows more of the cabin than the watch in a watch sub. Which is a little bit showy.
🍿
I’d rather appreciate a seiko I bought myself than casually wear a gifted AP and know nothing about it.
But what makes watches fun is the wide variety of philosophy between wearers. So merry Christmas!
Judging by the hairless arms, this dude hasn’t worked a second on his life.
Good for you OP really. However this is some pretentious shit right here. Very ai ligo but alas here we are.
Yep. Reading through the post history they’re a postal worker, who is dating some rich guy whose family sold them a 6k sqft multi million dollar home for well below market.
Gotta spend daddy’s money somehow
The pretentiousness in this sub is un-fucking-believable. Hey guys check me out in first class with this insanely expensive watch I’ve got but I don’t really give a shit about it it was a gift also wanna hear about my big vacation to Europe that isn’t at all relevant but I’m going to tell you anyway
That’s usually what happens when your entire ur identity is money not earned. The wealthy ppl I’ve met that worked their ass off are usually very humble.
This HR ass comment really sums up this whole post
You appear to have LinkedIn all over yourself.
You're trying to hard bro
Why is a 74 flying at 14k feet.
Lol this was my first thought too - odd altitude.
I think he’s misheard “cruising at 40,000 ft” enough for it to have incorrectly sunk into his brain as 14,000 and now he’s written it down for the first time
He didn’t have enough point to upgrade to 33k feet
Can you answer why you’re only at 14,000 feet?
Trash post
Fake it till you make it!!!
Why TF would you be cruising at 14,000 feet in a Lufthansa widebody? Based on the pic and the angle i'm going to say it's LH F on a 747.
Old ass Lufthansa F class, no privacy at all. The Frankfurt or Munich airport??
Did you shave your arm for this pic?
Thank you OP for confirming that from more than 3ft away it looks no better or different than a Seiko to 99.9% of humans. Congrats on the upgrade to 1st from business miles.
Douche.
95% of this image is not even a watch lol
I get the sense that watch is not the only thing you look down at
Holy shit, a watch that works when traveling AND at home?
Nice man, what sort of public bus is that?
I hope you have a wonderful holiday!
Why commercial? Holidays are the time of year to splurge
Is this first class on a Lufthansa 747 by any chance?
Exactly 14k nice
I don’t think people realise how desperate people are to flex these days. It would not surprise me if it’s a fake watch in one of those creepy rent-a-jet interiors. We live in very strange times where wealth is everything & class is irrelevant.
I'm confused now, this appears to be a man from the pic, but if you look through the post history he posts about embroidery and wearing makeup and cosplays as a girl dating a rapper in a real estate thread a mod deleted. Feels like we're all being taken for a ride (not at 14,000 feet) here folks!
Welp, I’m to poor for this sub, see ya all later.
And not accessible
„that just works anywhere“ well only if you never enter the real world. where this would be a no no and/or get stolen immediately. but yes, on golf courses and porsche dealerships, you‘re all good
Anybody know the reference for this watch?
OP doesn't even know and its their watch lol
Yawn
So you took the photo halfway through ascent or descent?
Love this reference, got it for my butler as a stocking stuffer.
Sorry I had to zoom into actually see the AP, and even then, it's angled away from our pov. All I'm seeing in first glance is the cabin. Congrats... I guess?
Watch out guys, this man bought a plan ticket!
Watch out guys, this man bought a plan ticket!
Dude serially posts AI images just farming engagement. Report and ignore
Yeah, if i had a Royal Oak I would never take it off.
This chick has nice forearms
If you need attention, this is not the correct sub
Did you shave your arms just for this shot? Or are you a natural twink?
shouldn’t this be at 34,000 feet ? 14,000 just seems a bit low for transatlantic Lufthansa flight
What watch? Can you zoom out a bit further?
And I’m spending the holiday with my loved ones
Cringe
Lufthansa 747-8 flying at 14,000 ft. Not a chance!
A whole mood at 14000 feet. Great wrist check!
This is hilarious (we Audemars collectors don’t claim him)
r/secondhandcringe
I have a Teiko Sports watch. Can I sit next to you, sir? And please pass the Grey Poupon.

Gross, what airline gives no privacy in premium class? I’m no snob, I’ll fly in a seat that doesn’t have a door if necessary, but this is just Greyhound without a seat mate.
Royal oak my fav watch
Can I hang out in your jet pls
Not one comment asking whether he shaves his arms?
Travel safe!
