Isn't the mv-22 largely unarmed? I mean I really like the aircraft but something with no armament just doesn't have a place in war thunder at the moment... Maybe if they introduced a world war mode where vehicles and supplies need to be moved or something but at the moment it would just be novelty without function
tbh it'd be really cool if for the infantry mode, if a utility helicopter without heavy weapons stays landed it acted as a spawn point for a set number of squads, so things like a basic huey could spawn one or two squads before needing to RTB and heavier stuff like the MI-8, could spawn several.
Similar to how APC's work in enlisted, but less of a magic clown car.
my problem with Gaijin adding this 5th gen aircraft is that most documents of these is highly classified and Gaijin will mostly implement its performance by just guessing. And surely they will buttfuck those 2 aircraft
Comparing aviation technology and tank technology is kind of stupid.
Of course they can add modern tanks because the info on tanks is 10x easier to guesstimate than jets. And modern tanks rarely change so that makes it even easier to guess. Jets are more tricky and the info on them is nigh impossible to "correctly" get.
While you are entirely right about the F-22, J-20, and to a degree the Sukhoi, F-35A is the most widespread stealth jet ever built and it’s developed and manufactured by a giant conglomerate that’s made up of dozens and dozens of subcontractors. There are tons of university papers and easily available engineering studies on it. While you can’t google the precise RCS of it, there is much more information available than most people think.
I like the idea that the suggestion of the F-22A had to be passed to the developers. As if they’d somehow completely forget about one of most iconic fighter jets of the modern era when implementing fifth gen.
Suggestions has always been nothing more than a way for Gaijin to pretend to listen to players. Having a suggestion get passed to the devs doesn't mean that vehicle is more likely to get added, it's just so they can "credit" the community once it does. For years it has been nothing but a way for players to discuss potential vehicles in a more formal format, and I say this as someone who has made 15 of them, the majority of which have been passed.
It shouldn't be added to Germany because they already have some candidates for larger gun tanks that can be added to their nation.
The UK is more limited in options for that, so considering it's a challenger 2 hull, with a prototype challenger 3 turret that's been modified to fit the gun and autoloader, yes it should go to the UK.
Best case scenario would be Britain getting it as a TT vehicle and Germany gets it as an event so atleast it will be limited on their side.
Germany has an option for a 130mm armed mbt with the Panther. Let alone the 140mm Leopard variants they and Switzerland has that they will end up getting.
Britain doesn't have any concrete 140mm tanks that could be added. There is potentially a Challenger 140mm but we only have a couple examples of gun barrels and no evidence they were mounted. Then there is the E.N.T which only had the autoloader built and might have made use of the same gun barrel.
If they get the Challenger 130 as well I don't want to hear any moaning if Canadian Leopards get added to the British tree. Bad enough the Class 3P is in the German tree despite it being built by South Africa.
I mean, If Canadian Leopards get added to Britain would still be retroactively shared between the nations so Britain still doesn't win much of anything unique besides a copy 2A4 and 2A6 with extra weight. Germany already has the more unique Canadian Leos.

Its also on, yknow, a Challenger tank. A 6000lb gun doesn't automatically make the other 120000lbs irrelevant. Nobody would ever argue that the M48 with a 105 is suddenly British, or that a MiG-15 is.
The vickers mk7 is in the British tree while using a leopard hull. As a matter of fact we have a few other tanks in game that use a leopard hull or another German tank hull that aren’t in Germany’s tech tree.
How would the osprey work? I mean, it would be a cool as fuck vehicle, but the helicopters that just have tiny machine guns are just shit to suffer with on the grind. I’d hate to see such a cool vehicle be added to the game just to be useless.
I think it would be cool if we had massive battles that gave utility helicopters a role like giving tanks on the. Battlefield more ammo and crew members. But we’d never get something like that.
Dude the Osprey is the size of a building. It would be completely useless because it would have to be in a BR where radars/proxy are common. You wouldn't even be able to take off.

The F3 we have ingame could already use MICA IR and Meteor if added ingame.
The main new stuff for the F.4.x would be the 1000kg variants of the AASM (and we already lack the 150 and 500kg variants), and probably MICA NG and new variants of some stuff.
They're prolly gonna make it different by giving it the more advanced versions of what our current F3s get. IE, Mica IR, wonder if they'll got Meteor or Mica NG. Perhaps some new ground ordinances hopefully storm shadow.
Why the Su-47? The thing was never armed with anything, not missiles, a gun, or even a radar. And nothing to say anything was planned cor it either it simply doesn’t have anything.
But adding an experimental aircraft that was never intended to carry weapons or avionics is fucking retarded. It makes just as much sense to add as the X-15 as the Su-47. The Su-47 was built to only test forward-swept wings and composite materials, and after those experiments were completed it got abandoned in a storage yard where it's rotting to this very day. The only plans to arm it were a PROPOSAL by sukhoi years after it got abandoned to export an armed variant of it which never went anywhere, not even into plans being made.
They have already denied experimental aircraft like the EAP for the very same reasons, there should not be any exception made to make the Su-47 possible.
I'm only half-joking. I suspect that, if accepted, it's because the Su-47 spent a very long time being treated as the unofficial Russian next gen fighter. It's an iconic jet.

Helis: unless something has FnF, it’s basically 400 RP grind for a cool skin (it’s free food for the AAs)
Boats: more boats, more dev time for modeling these who takes hours, in an abysmal gamemode that has 3/4 of a team filled with bots. Improving the gamemode is gonna make people play naval, not just adding new boats and changing for the 10th time the damage system. Actual waste of time, that could be used to improve aldready existing content
Miscellaneous: I guess they did do some QoL improvements the last few updates, so let’s see what they do

Obviously it's going to be really easy to kill with that being a major controversy IRL, but being able to first spawn something with aircraft speeds could be interesting.
I feel like if you spawned at the far out helibase and got up to speed you could pull off some nasty hit and runs before CAP spawns.

With the Chally 130mm and the Leclerc T4 passed we might finally see the big caliber update this year. If I remember correctly CATTB was passed in the old forums, same as Obj 195 and other big dakka stuff.
The only things in this entire list that seem even remotely interesting are the Ka, the Osprey, and the Su-47. Everything else feels like a Naval addition (lol, lmao even), or more top-tier nonsense that will be impossible to model correctly and only exists as a means to grab more money.

Really they never passed the Avenger before. But the issue is wtf would you even put that. LAV-AD is 10.0 and the chapperal is 9.0. Heck with how IR and helis interact even at 9.3 you'd still be better of with the M247.

The VT5 already in the game is the Bangladeshi model, which I believe is basically the 2018 VT5 but with some differences like no ERA on the hull and a manual instead of remoted controlled HMG.
That's the Bangladeshi model still, as it doesn't have a RCWS like the Chinese VT5, AFAIK Bangladeshi VT5's also never had any ERA mounted onto them, so it's weird in general that they made an uparmoured model for it.
I dont understand why projectile cam never seems to be suggested for ground forces?
We have a lot of missiles and shit (AA and SPG) that follow cam would be awesome
because it would be used like a drone to see the enemy team's exact positions at tiers where there are no drones, or the velocity of the shell would be so high that you'd see basically just a blur before impact.

There must be a "variable" that makes the camera not see any other tank/vehicle than just the one getting camerad
I mean stealth will just be a gimmick where you can't see certain aircraft until they're at a certain distance, so in a way it will just add some dynamic playstyles to the current top tier meta. It won't be as groundbreaking as many think and might make the game even more interesting.
Typhoon, Rafale and F-15EX will be overall better than F-35 in this game simply because they're faster, perform better and can carry more missiles. F-35 can only carry 4 missiles internally which isn't enough for top tier, and with how this game is, if you load external missiles it will completely cancel stealth and leave you in a slow fat plane.
IIRC on the stealth vehicles we currently have, having an open bomb bay or external pylons still only increases the detection range from like 8km to 10km
Thats not how it goes. Both F-35 and F-22 can supercruise without AB afaik - as long as they are not loaded with external weapons stations. Your F-15E wont necessarily fly faster, even at higher altitude, when its fully loaded with 22 AMRAAMs. This would mean they might have the upper hand in BVR (reduced RCS, higher launch speed).
Most of Fat Amy's competition like Typhoon, Rafale and F15EX have higher twr and speed. Just because F15EX can carry 22 amraams, doesn't mean you have to carry full load, especially with how short arb matches are. 10 missiles are enough to get through nearly every match, assuming you're not just firing them willy nilly.
It beast mode I believe it can carry 14 missiles overall (don't know if that's a myth tho). But you would get rid of its advantages doing that obviously. But they should at the very least model it's DAS system which gives it 360 degree hmd

What I’m wondering is why they chose the J-35A and not a J-20 variant for China’s 5th gen. Is it just because the J-35 can carry PL-12s and they don’t want to add in PL-15s?
But in-general: make an option for having more immersive voicelines. I want to feel the fear and panic of my crew like in GHPC; or Jester's voice, or something on similar level of fidelity, when I play WT. I understand this would raise ESRB rating probably, thats why it shouldnt be default - default is good as is now. But the option should be there 🫡

The MV-22B does get hydra/APKWS pods, AGM-176, and a belly mounted turret so it could be pretty good for infantry.

Yea unfortunately. Atleast the C2A1 is an event and the 2A4M CAN can be hidden from purchase and replaced with a Swiss Leopard or something.

No the current F3R doesn't have capabilities of the F4. And the only thing that make it a F3R are the AESA radar and paveways.

the 130 would have actually offered something new to the uk, the chally that got passed for the uk has nothing special apart from a slightly stronger engine, black night and 2e are still better due to the shorter reload and 1500hp/aps

Why is the vt5 there when it's already on the game? Do they finally plan to buff it?
The VT5 already in the game is the Bangladeshi model, which I believe is basically the 2018 VT5 but with some differences like no ERA on the hull and a manual instead of remoted controlled HMG.
The Chinese VT5 with ERA is in the files ever since the Bangladeshi one got added. So now passing it as a suggestion is a bit weird
That's the Bangladeshi model still, as it doesn't have a RCWS like the Chinese VT5, AFAIK Bangladeshi VT5's also never had any ERA mounted onto them, so it's weird in general that they made an uparmoured model for it.
They might finally give us the TT version but even then I don’t know why it wasn’t passed as the ZTQ-15 and instead as the VT-5.
The ZTQ-15 was passed a long time ago. The VT-5 and ZTQ-15 have some related features but are actually different tanks.

I dont understand why projectile cam never seems to be suggested for ground forces? We have a lot of missiles and shit (AA and SPG) that follow cam would be awesome
because it would be used like a drone to see the enemy team's exact positions at tiers where there are no drones, or the velocity of the shell would be so high that you'd see basically just a blur before impact.
Cant it work like some other cameras, where the surrounding vehicles is just not there?

I mean stealth will just be a gimmick where you can't see certain aircraft until they're at a certain distance, so in a way it will just add some dynamic playstyles to the current top tier meta. It won't be as groundbreaking as many think and might make the game even more interesting.
Typhoon, Rafale and F-15EX will be overall better than F-35 in this game simply because they're faster, perform better and can carry more missiles. F-35 can only carry 4 missiles internally which isn't enough for top tier, and with how this game is, if you load external missiles it will completely cancel stealth and leave you in a slow fat plane.
IIRC on the stealth vehicles we currently have, having an open bomb bay or external pylons still only increases the detection range from like 8km to 10km
Thats not how it goes. Both F-35 and F-22 can supercruise without AB afaik - as long as they are not loaded with external weapons stations. Your F-15E wont necessarily fly faster, even at higher altitude, when its fully loaded with 22 AMRAAMs. This would mean they might have the upper hand in BVR (reduced RCS, higher launch speed).
f-35 can't supercruise at all but i might be wrong about that
Most of Fat Amy's competition like Typhoon, Rafale and F15EX have higher twr and speed. Just because F15EX can carry 22 amraams, doesn't mean you have to carry full load, especially with how short arb matches are. 10 missiles are enough to get through nearly every match, assuming you're not just firing them willy nilly.
Their TWR is nearly identical, arguably 35A is better; F-15EX - this would depend what Gaijin will give them unfortunately.
The most significant difference will be the different drag coefficient (besides airframe limitations).
It beast mode I believe it can carry 14 missiles overall (don't know if that's a myth tho). But you would get rid of its advantages doing that obviously. But they should at the very least model it's DAS system which gives it 360 degree hmd
