We gave up fixing the decorations - clearly. What a mess. The tree is now his.
Please ignore the clothes on the table - they’re getting donated to our unhoused tomorrow.
It’s #caturday and this here? One of our cats. The turd toddler, JJ. We do love him tho. Can’t help it.
Merry Catmas. 😬
I don't think your luck with Christmas trees will be good with this little villain around, he is very cute though.

I had to chase ours out many times today 😂 I don’t mind that she loves the shatter proof ornaments. I just don’t want her chewing on the wires.
You can get a roll of rodent tape (coated in capsaican powder) and wrap the lower wires. This will keep them from chewing them.
That picture is if the hatman was a small kitten.

A gorgeous menace 🥰
There’s a reason my cats have never seen a Christmas tree!

Amazing 😂
I have a train track around the tree and it deters my cheeky void. I just turn it on when she's under the tree and she leaves. Bonus that she's not terrified of it it just works as a deterent
I didn’t have that kind of luck — 30 years ago I put my N-scale train on a circle track around my live xmas tree. Turned it on, my cat took one swipe and the cars sailed across the room. Busted the couplers, bent some tracks and I had to order parts to fix.
Ah the Tree void in it’s natural habitat lol
It's our voids first Christmas as well. Poor boy got stuck on the Christmas tree and hasn't touched it since. He tried the same thing though 😂
Aww he’s having so much fun! What a cute boy
He looks very proud of himself, sitting in that tree!
To be fair… your ornaments do kinda look like cat toys 😬.
Now I feel bad not putting up a tree. It's like I'm denying my kitten one big amazing toy : /
if its artificial tree we wrap double sided sticky tape around bottom trunk part, put a barrier around the bottom.
I didn’t even bother putting one up this year. My void & his litter mate enjoyed their 1st Xmas tree a little too much last year & I just didn’t want that added stress to the holiday. My G’ma’s ceramic Xmas tree for the win!
He's gorgeous 😍
It's obviously his tree now!
That's so cute, I want to get a tree just for my cats to play in.
We got three kitten in August (one void, two tux) so was expecting a major disaster when we put up our tree last weekend, but so far they’ve all taken a look but soon lost interest. We did take the precaution of hanging nothing close to the ground. It’s also in the room where our old ginger tom sleeps, perhaps he has some use after all 😅
Fingers crossed we can now make Christmas Day without incident.
Tin foil round the bottom of the tree might deter kitty's exploration :p
He's happy creating destruction and doom to the tree
My previous void willow loved playing with the tree. I used to hang a bell on the back of it so I could usually hear any eminent danger of the tree being tipped over
During his lifetime he only broke a handful of ornaments
Out of my current bunch only one , another void, had shown any interest and like playing with the cat safe ones on the lower branches
To be honest I love that she plays with the tree
We haven’t had a tree in years. Honestly though I don’t really miss it.
🎶”O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, your ornaments are history.”🎶
I saw an ad for a cat tree disguised as a Christmas tree. Probably a good investment for you.
I have questions about the wall art….
Vancouver island
look at his floof 😻
JJ: -gasp- this inside tree thing is the best thing you’ve ever done! This thing is great!”
Lol
sigh yeah, I can relate. My tree is bald and deprived of anything ornaments lol

I hate when bad behavior of pets is recorded and rewarded over being discouraged by the owner.
He's having a grand time in there.
I wrap a decent garland (the kind with metal wire in it) all around the trunk and in between the branches. Stops the cat from being able to climb it AND makes my tree look fuller. Win win.
