We are going camping in a small campercar and are most likely using the camping card. We are going 27th july - 6th august
I've been looking into campsites, and I cant seem to find anything about how check-in works. We expect to arrive late a lot of the days, talking 22-24. Is this something that usually is possible or does it perhaps differ a lot from site to site? And (besides mailing them all) how could I perhaps find this information?

If you arrive late, they will come around in the morning. You can camp at night, even if there is not someone available to check you in. It probably does differ from site to site, but it is no big deal, and it is easy to figure out as you go. I went in July, and was able to camp everywhere and find spots even at the most busy campsites.

Someone comes around and makes rounds in the evening and again in the mornings. If you arrive late at night, they’ll collect the payment in the morning. They’ll knock on your rig when they’re around. Easy process! Most take cards but there are some cash only (I avoided those but you’ll see the cash-only ones in reviews). Nothing against cash only, I just never have cash lol
