We are coming to Iceland from the UK and wondered if we need either a ETIA or an Icelandic equivalent? If so do we need to apply in advance or just arrive at Kevlavik airport?
Iceland is part of the Schengen Area, so you will need ETIAS once it's implemented. ETIAS implementation seems to get pushed back another quarter every time I check, currently expected to start late 2026.
So if you are traveling soon you're fine, but if you'll be traveling after ETIAS starts, you will need to apply for that before you travel.
We visited just before Xmas and didn't need to do/apply for anything in advance; just turned up with passport and went through a very friendly Icelandic border officer with a magnificent beard.

As far as I can tell, the EES changes won't take effect until later in the year for Iceland (see also https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/iceland/entry-requirements).
