Yea PLAY too! It kinda sucks, I used PLAY out of Newburgh NY many times to hit Iceland for long weekends. It’s only 30 mins from my house and I could avoid all the big NYC/NJ airports. PLAY airlines effectively opened up Iceland for me as an overseas adventure just 4 hrs away. Some weekends I would take Thursday and Monday off. Get up early and fly red eye standby to Reykjavik and be there by afternoon! Such a breeze

Icelandair seriously needs competition.
They have plenty on the Europe side of things. Not so much from the USA.
For the US and American market there is Delta, United, West jet, Canda air and Alaskan airlines so definently some competition there
