All my cashmere sweaters and wool garments got infested by moths and ended up full of holes 😭
After treating everything by freezing the garments for at least three days and then washing them thoroughly, I decided to try repairing them one by one using visible mending techniques. I’ll mostly be using embroidery and needle felting.
This is the first repair I attempted, and it honestly turned out mind-blowing. I chose needle felting for this sweater and came up with the idea of turning each moth hole into a star ⭐️ — and it worked out far better than I expected.
This is such a cool sweater now!!!!
I adore The Little Prince and I adore this sweater! So well done!
Instead of a day with forty-four sunsets, you have a Little Prince hunting a Baobab!
it’s really impressive work, and unique in all the world.
And yet instantly identifiable! Fab job.
Le petit prince est mon préféré ⭐️🌱🥀
To the front page you go!
Absolute work of art, you are so talented!
🌹✨⭐️✈️🌟🥀
This is incredibly cool!
Ahhhh what a great idea! I love the Little Prince, I may need to steal this
gorgeous work! 🌟
This is brilliant. Well done
You are magic
I would pay so much for a sweater like that. Just brilliant.
Absolutely beautiful ✨
Was the sweater plain black before? The prince is so good I can't tell 😅
Yes! It was just a plain black turtleneck sweater before. Each star is where a moth hole was found, and I added the Little Prince, his planet, and everything else to complete the image. Thank you for your compliment!
If someone loves one flower among all of the millions and millions of stars, just looking at them is enough to make him happy.
Incredibly joyful. My heart is happy.
That’s gorgeous! You’re talented. I hope it’s paying you in whatever ways are important to you.
This is gorgeous 😍 thanks for sharing!!
Every star in the sky is an enemy (moth)

Wait did you do the whole prince and everything?? He's so accurate! I loved that book since I was a tiny kid and still do.
Yes! I did the whole thing including the Prince. Haha, thank you for your praise. My high school teacher gifted me a copy of The Little Prince after she learned about the passing of my father and told me that this book helped her go through the same loss she had experienced. She also placed a sticky bookmark on one of the paragraphs and included a thoughtful message. I kept this book with me for years, even through frequent moves. I wanted to reference the cover image of this book for this felting project, but I don't know what happened—this book was nowhere to be found. Ugh, but I'll always remember Ms. Grace and her generosity, and I'm so happy seeing how much joy and solace this book has been bringing to children and adults alike across the globe!
Your work, made my day ! To see a fav book represented and turned into an art form, well done !
Amazing.

Are you sure they were moth holes and not wear holes? Moths usually go toward armpits and other grubby areas
Moths are specifically interested in consuming the wool itself. The holes are not an incidental result of them consuming bodily secretions or other soil ON the fabric. So no, they will happily consume pristine, never worn wool garments and are not attracted by other ‘human’ substances.
If clothes seem to be getting holes specifically in arm pits or soiled areas, the damage is being done by an insect other than moths e.g. carpet beetle larvae, crickets, cockroaches, termites, silverfish, firebrats, and even possibly booklice. All will consume fabric (with varying preferences) and many ARE attracted by smells and stains.
Bit pedantic , but moths don't eat wool. They have no mouth. Their larvae/grubs tho, nomnomnom.
They are attracted most specifically to SOILED areas of the clothing.
