Just got this great handbook on indigo dyeing, and was pleasantly surprised to find a whole section on mending techniques. It includes numerous illustrations, and is a handy little text on a fascinating subject. Thought others here might appreciate it.
Indigo, by Douglas Luhanko and Kerstin Neumüller. ISBN: 9780008743642, published 2025.
So cool! Will definitely give it a look. Any other pictures or info you found interesting?
Here are a few more highlights. This book is part practical guide, part inspiration. I might try growing some indigo indoors!

Definitely try growing it! I've had some (big emphasis on some) experience growing indigo and it's a really pretty plant. You can also try growing false indigo (Baptisia australis) which is native to the USA and was used by the Native Americans to make blue dye. It comes back every year and spreads, so you'll potentially have a good supply after a while I imagine!

Neumuller wrote a whole book on mending a few years ago - it's pretty good if you can find it; she covers a lot of mends that aren't often dealt with like leather.
