The historic parts of Richmond. The old Fan. Westhampton at Christmas time.
Middleburg in the hunt seasons. :-)
Deltaville and Urbanna sailing clubs.
There are some depressed parts of Virginia that are truly beautiful, like the little town of Coeburn in the Southwest. It'd be hard to work there, but it's beautiful.
From outside of Charlottesville and now live in NOVa....so most places south of Nova but honestly C-vill and Lexington , I used to drive to WV for college along the route and its incredible.
Nice. I haven’t been in years. Last time was 2012 when my brother thru hiked the AT. Dragons tooth and mcAfees Knob are also great day hikes. I went to Tech so Dragons Tooth was a regular.
Well it could be two places. One is riding around up in the mountains and ending up stopping by Bold Rock cidery. The other is visiting the beach at Jamestown Beach Event Park across from the Jamestown settlement.
My favorite are point to point hikes anywhere on the AT that isn’t in a popular hiking section. I get some of the best views before you hit McAfees knob. McAfees knob is a super popular route but it’s so busy they even have shuttles because the parking lot stays full. Not sure about yall but I go to the woods to get away from people
That was my first thought, too. Next thing you know it'll be crowded with tourons who want coffee and sushi and there wont be any housing because of short term rentals. Call me cynical, but I've seen it all.
Oh i have a lot of special memories from around there. I really miss the Woodlawn stables. I cant drive down there now without thinking about that.
But really absolutely... Woodbridge, marumsco, and Colchester is also special though. I still go to occoquan with a picnic on warm days just to watch the boats and the water sometimes.
Nelson County; Nellysford, Roseland, Lovingston, Massie’s Mill. I live in Cville, and I had a client in Nelson. It’s so beautiful I decided to get married there.
Almost anywhere in the Valley. Staunton.
