I honestly don't care if people get mad anymore. I play genji and doom— I haven't had this much fun with a hero in a very long time, so if they complain and insult me I'm going to REVEL in it. All those years of counter swapping me on doom and genji? With vendetta her "counters" feel like something I can handle

as a Doom main - you'll get used to being countered every game. you can pick Doom, feed your brains out, go 0-3 and people will still counterswap instantly, lol. some people just don't want to take on a challenge, get better and learn to outplay with positioning and game understanding when it's way easier to pick Sombra/Orisa/Brig and turn their brains off. Again, as a Doom main, playing into Orisa/Hog/Sombra/Cass etc may be tough, but it's a challenge I'm willing to take on in order to get better and learn. If it's really bad and in a comp game, I'll just pick a different dive tank/mirror the enemy tank

As a 2k hrs sombra main i really dont get why you feel that way . like why do you care if someone is upset with your pick when they give no shit about how their chats make you feel when you pick what you pick . just play whatever you like and act up if somebody shit talks . just tell them " cry " or just turn off chat . thats how i survived 2k hrs on sombra

Then the enemies and your whole team just suck at the game. Yes she obnoxious to play against(as a Ashe/echo/venture main). But she’s really not that difficult to counter or play against. She’s more annoying. She doesn’t kill the fun to play against. Just tell them they got a skill issue if they insult you 🤷

Two things - turn off chat / voice chat. It's so peaceful. You don't really need it, there are communication options for everything you need tbh. The other thing is that a team not being able to counter you is their problem. I say this as someone who has had many games where the Vendetta was incredibly annoying because she knew what she was doing, her team supported her, and she would just not die because my team was useless. That was an 'us' problem, not the Vendetta's problem. I've also had games where our Vendetta was really good but also me and the other support really paid attention to keeping her health up. And of course, the rest of the team was also good. Teams/players not being able to counter you is not a 'you' problem. Besides, it's a game. I realised recently (I got too heated lol) that when I'm getting mad over a game, I just need to do something else, whether that's to turn it off, or just mess around in custom games to find the fun in it again. I say this as someone who does feel the rage when I keep dying but that's because 1. my team doesn't look out for me, everyone goes off to do their own thing trying to get elims and doesn't pay attention to my pings or asking for help, 2. and this is the most important one... I'm playing shite because I'm just having a shit day or whatever else. So I say you play whoever you want, turn off the chat, and have fun! If you get angry, turn it off OR go play some custom games. When I'm on a comp losing streak I'll just go to 11 kids Vs 1 dad and play that absolute chaos of a mode loool

They always try to counter, just diff them harder (alpha energy)

Just give it a month or turn off game chat. Don't let randoms you are going to never talk to again ruin your fun. They do not matter

I’ve got 22 hours on her so far in QP, pretty much one-tricking her, even in obviously bad matchups. I’ve definitely encountered a lot of toxicity related to Vendetta as a hero (which I can empathize with), but I haven’t really noticed any toxicity targetted to me personally, even when it feels like I’m nearly throwing.

My perspective is that QP is the place to practice even in clearly bad matchups, so you can learn how to better adapt to suboptimal scenarios, and I think most [rational] players understand that QP isn’t just about winning.

Obviously, there’s a point where you should probably swap (ie you have a K/D of 0/10 when the rest of your team is 10/2), but those matches should happen less often the more you improve.

I lowkey just stopped playing her until the dust settles, I can't even play her in comp since she is banned every single damn game (I am guilty of banning her whenever I play support too. lol).

I used to play sombra, so I am used to slurs and bans, but damn is it amplified tenfold this time lol
