Not in terms of damage output obviously going through shields and dealing 400 damage is awesome but everyone knows it’s coming from a. Mile away. They either shoot you from the sky or sleep you or just hide
They don’t even need to know where it’s coming from as soon as they hear it they can just split up and hide. I seriously never do anything meaning with my ult it’s so slow and predictable and easily dodged.
My best strategy has been to hide behind a wall on ground level and peek using 3rd person and then popping out to luckily get one person but yeah I feel like this thing sucks .
Think about it this way, it is at least better than Cassidy's. He has to charge his up on a target to kill it, she can charge it completely hidden around a corner, turn the corner and immediately pop a bunch of people
Also the entire ultimate counts as an overhead strike for her 40% lifesteal. Pop it early for 40hp per target or charge it up for up to 160hp per target

Yeah! I thought I noticed my health go up out of the corner of my eye once and tested it in the practice range! Let's you do power aggro uncharged ultimates if they are all grouped up. If for example their entire team is close together you can instantly pop 100 damage to their whole team and heal yourself for 200.
Not always gonna be optimal of course, but especially as people get better at avoiding her fully charged ultimate it's a good option to have!

Honestly feel like half the time it’s better to straight up use it to auto win a duel at the start of an engagement.
The only thing I dont like about the ult is that way it hits people i have had random polls block and other times it dosnt even hit them when they are just on an elevated ledge like its an overhead it should come from the top
i agree with this, had a nasty 5k lined up but it was blocked by a lamp post for 4/5th of them 💔😭
A few effective ways to use it, but most rely on your team being helpful.
Start from behind a wall and slowly creep out to where the fighting is happening. Bonus points if they didn’t see you or recently saw you on other side of the engagement.
Use to finish a duel - wuyang is my primary solo ult use and I usually get a hit or two in and finish with ult.
Great for use in the middle of chaos mid fight, but the teams gotta be with you.
This is an ult you pop when they use a support ult, and or need to stop the enemy from advancing to point or clear point itself
Don't pop when Ana is alive. Dive her, bait her cd's, kill her, ult. Ez
If that too hard, then combo with grav or shatter or something

hide behind walls until it's time to release the slash. when anas started landing sleeps on me during ult, I started doing this and have not had issues since.
I do this but every one with a brain just moves out of the way
I guess my advice is to just be sneaky? If you make sure they don't spot you when you go behind cover, and then pop ult, they'll usually panic and not know what to do, and you can usually confirm at least 1 or 2 kills (hopefully on a support)

So you think it’d be fair if it was easy to land? It already breaks all defenses.
Your high mobility does give you a lot of options to get a surprise pick on the backline during a chaotic team fight but you can also use it to attack with your team.
Try using it behind the safety of your tank who can then push on the opening you created and capitalise off the huge chunk of damage you just did. You'll either force the enemy teams resources to stabilise or, if you wait until they're on cooldown, your team will secure eliminations.
Her kit is all about momentum, and while her ultimate may be stationary it's momentum lies in the flow of team fights.
i almost always use it around a corner and then steo around at the last second. also, like someone else said, it's at LEAST one guaranteed kill if you do it smart - the other night i used it to finish off a hog that was a menace all game and it was great value
Something I've stopped doing is flying to ult way to risky something you should do is flank then ult around a corner and slowly walk out into los using your third person to corner peak the doorway or whatever you hid around and wait for the perfect time to poke out fully and strike doesnt work everytime but for me so far works pretty well
