I think it's fairly obvious at this point that Ven's gonna get the nerf hammer. Her WR is absurd across all ranks that it almost rivals even Sigma's WR before he got hotfixed. So a nerf is probably imminent, but I'm curious which part of her kit ends up getting slashed.
Her E cooldown? Resource regen? Overhead slash? Maybe they'll just full-on convert some of her armor to base HP? Funnily enough I think her ult is the one part of her kit that doesn't seem in danger of getting nerfed, despite how ridiculous it sounds on paper.
Audio cues and a bit of damage. I’d say passive stacks would be less effective
Vendetta's in this annoying position where she's logically not very good but in practise she dominates. Thus, I would wager a rebalance is in order, giving her more survivability (lifesteal perk basekit?)
As for nerfs, the only things they can really safely touch are damage and resource generation. Damage is obvious, she's among the highest burst heroes in the game while also requiring significantly less aim, but resource generation especially would be a promising nerf target; by increasing her downtime between fights the enemy gets more opportunities to catch her at her weakest, thus worsening her matchup into counters.
They could try to reduce the range on her slashes or increase her cooldowns, but those would be incredibly dangerous to change for a character who relies on zoning and combos as much as Vendetta. Look at Doomfist, he once got a +1 second cooldown nerf to punch and it almost entirely altered how you want to treat it as a resource. It's just too much of a risk to change if you want Vendetta to feel good.
Right? I dont understand this situation. At all. Im in mid daimond and most every character counters her or have ways to shut her down. I die every team fight even if I do get kills. She is not anywhere near the strength of Tracer or annoyance of Sombra but everyone is stacking against her. Idgi.

I hope they don't nerf her cooldown durations. I'd rather they tweak damage numbers.
Reduce overhead to 120 and the two swings before to 45 each, dropping the full combo damage to 210 rather than 230.
Also probably nerf her perks. Maybe reduce the lifesteal from 40% to 33% and the damage per spin from 40 to 30.
If I had to guess itd be her passive and perks caus if they take anything else she can easily become unplayable if they take too much
Her lifesteal and triple spin perks both are gonna get nerfed. maybe they'll nerf overhead strike damage a bit too. probably gonna give her louder audio cues because support players are deaf

Overhead wont crit anymore but deal a bit more dmg to compensate. Swingrange might be shortened a bit. Basically her issue is that of ow1 doomfist. If she has the jump on you, there isnt a lot of counterplay. The way to introduce counterplay without ruining her hero design fantasy is to reduce her TTK and or chase potential. If I play lucio and i can escape early its not very fair or fun to turn around and see her slashing in my face. Melee dps is just hard to balance in shooters. Gotta do dmg but also gotta be able to be killed but also not instadie brining a knife to a gun fight. Shouldve been a tank tbh..
It would be tough to nerf her damage output, she HEAVILY relies on breakpoint combos to get any value.
So instead, increase her risk. Specifically I would lower the damage that can be absorbed by block from 250 to 200, and turn 50 of her armor into health.
Also, make her audio queues to enemies louder. I swear she has to be in kissing range to hear her sometimes.

I think a lot of it is players are not used to a pure melee hero. One thing they could do that isn't just a nerf is raise the sounds on her moves for enemies. And drop her to 250 maybe
I think they will rebalance her combo. Rather than 50 50 130 they could do 60 60 110. This will be a net nerf. I feel like they will go soft with her first nerf and this addresses her burst damage.

They just need to make her do less damage and make her swings harder to hit cuz rn its borderline not fun to play as her due to how rediculously easy she is
They're 100% going to add like 3 seconds of cooldown to soaring slash.
Which will feel really bad because it's you're engage tool *and* escape tool. Outside of that they'll more than likely decrease her damage and increase her audio cues.
Maybe tone down her overhead a bit, to like 100 or 110 so she can still kill 225hp with sword 1 > 2 > Overhead > melee but not 250 i guess
My guess would be increasing soaring slice cooldown from 6 to 8 seconds and reducing overhead strike damage from 130 to 110 damage.
That would probably be enough lower her win rate to acceptable levels without marking her useless.
8 seconds is a LOT for her main movement ability, she'll just be unplayable
Yeah she'll be a lot worse, but she's at around 60% winrate at most ranks and something will have to give.
