My ARMOUR G came with a GTX coil inside the pod and an additional GTX replacement. I am new to vaping. I went to my local vape shop and picked the first Vaporesso coil I found. It turns out to be GTi. Will it work?

  • There are reasons people choose the rebuildable tanks. Wire is wire and cotton is cotton. No messing with compatibility.

Try using 22g in an MTL or 32g in a DTL and you'll think differently

😂 seriously, need to know your shit

This is a confusing statement. If someone has absolutely no knowledge of coil building then they should get the most basic information understood first. It's not impossible to run 22g (but it would probably be awful) in mtl and with enough strands of 32 you could absolutely rip a DTL hit from any high power mod. These things are all simple algebra with calculators online already available. It's not just black and white.

Just because it'll fire and produce vapor doesn't mean it'll be a good experience

The exact same statement could be made about all pre-built coils and the opportunity for someone to adjust wattage outside recommended specs. At some point the responsibility falls on the user to know what they are doing and act accordingly.

None of it is rocket science though, and is eminently learnable. My previous statement was more relating to availability and compatibility rather than user knowledge. The knowledge is freely available. Coils with a specific thread and length that only go in one tank or pod not so much.

I'm sure it must be nice to just nip in to the vape shop and pick up some pods and juice but when the local importer is out of coils, there will be no more. The newest shiny vape will be available with a 4-5 month supply of coils then rinse and repeat whilst fighting against the ever continuing government game of whack-a-mole with the websites selling them. It's no fun.

These dark days are slowly sweeping the world, as the tobacco lobbyists grease the palms of government to outlaw vape shops and vaping generally. Wire and cotton is available and used for many things which would be hard to legislate out of the hands of the common man. Very specifically sized pyrex glass tubes are also hard to ban.

Absolutely. I'm on your side and in agreement with your take on the current environment of materials and regulations. Especially in regards to one's own ability, knowledge, and understanding; Simply taking the time to educate oneself of things we are not familiar with is seen as a waste of time. It's unfortunate especially when "danger" is plastered over it to dissuade people. Often what happens is the danger is parallel to the lack of understanding.

  • No it only take GTX. Coils

  • Only the GTX coils will work. Take the box back to the shop, if they're nice about it they'll probably just swap the coils as long as they're sealed.

  • I believe it is only compatible with GTX coils.

  • GTX all the way

  • You need the GTX coils for a pod kit the GTI coils are for a tank like the itank

  • No. They will not work. They are not cross compatible

  • I popped one out and it didn’t fit at all. The store owner was there actually and agreed to swap it for GTX later today when they arrive. Thanks everyone.

  • Negative

You can use gtx, pnp and vcc coils
