• I guess these days in BC when buying a home, you need to check if its on "stolen land" before making a purchase.

    I mean when I buy a video game console I try to make sure it isn't stolen yeah, and if it turns out it is, it will be removed from my possession at best and or charged with purchasing stolen goods/accessory to theft at worst. This is true regardless of my intent and knowledge as the purchaser.

    I am not sure this is the gotcha you think it is...

    Wow, ya a five hundred dollar console is the same as a home, no you wouldn't be charged if you had no knowledge it was stolen, do you always ask for a serial number and contact the cops about a facebook marketplace buy? Everybody better give your homes back they's on "stolen land " get real this ain't the gotcha you think it is.

    The point was if I take this much care with a console (all of which tripped today btw welcome to the ranlmpocalypse) in gonna take the same care as the land. You literally just tried to hustle stolen land to me with your post just now.
